Dots
This teapot was a present - many years ago - from a dear friend,
when she came to visit me from England.
Yesterday I felt it urgently needed a matching hot pad.
(Does that kind of urge sound familiar to you at all,
or should I better consult my doctor?)
I applied the dots after crocheting the white circle.
Each dot is a bobble stitch made of six dc (American terminology).

DeleteI love it, it reminds of a Spring Tea!

very cute..
ReplyDeleteIt is so lovely - it made me smile x
ReplyDeleteI love this - I need to adapt it for my kitchen but with orla kiely colours. :) How are the dots attached?
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comment!
DeleteI simply sew the dots to the circle, using both the begin & end thread from each dot, this ensures the dot will be thoroughly secured. Also, this enables you to reshape the dots if & where necessary. ;-)
Good luck!
Absolutely beautiful! And no - you definitely don't need to consult a doctor! ;-)
ReplyDeleteJust discovered your blog via Pinterest. I've been meaning to get back into crocheting for ages. Now I'm really inspired!!
