Little man on campus

My Blakey Boy started preschool on Tuesday. Weird. He has been so excited. He told everyone he was going to his first school. He is the youngest in his class - by a lot. All the other kids will go to Kindergarten next year and Blake has two years before he starts. On the first day I told him to give me kiss and I would pick him up after school. He gave me a smooch and went and sat down. I was so glad he wanted to stay, but he could have at least pretended to want me around. Blakey has always been my little buddy. He goes everywhere with me. For the last two years when Eli would go to preschool, Blake and I would shop, go to lunch, hang out or clean. I am going to miss him on the 3 days a week he is in school. He is the one who helped me pick out and get everything ready for Griffin. He is such a great helper and the most independent 3 year old I know. He definitely is a unique little guy and I love, love, love him (stubborness and all)!

The Big School

I think that Eli has been prepared for Kindergarten since he was 2. He loves school. The routine. The learning. It's his thing. Last Wednesday he was finally able to go to the "big school". He had been counting down the days and he loves his teacher and his class. My sweet man is growing up too fast. I was not prepared for how emotional last week was. I was so proud and excited for him - his excitement was contagious. But I was also sad. Sad that he doesn't need me in the same was he used to. Sad that someone else would be hearing his funny words first or praising him for good work. Boo-hoo for me right. He loved his first day and every day since - let's just see how long that enthusiasm lasts!

He found his seat at table #1

I went to this dreamy place and picked up some cupcakes for a special after school snack. They were divine. I may or may not have eaten three of these four all by myself -

Did I mention deliciously divine!

Visit the Sweet Tooth Fairy Bakery - you will not be disappointed!

First Day of Preschool

Today my big guy started preschool. I don't think he could have been more excited. Everything in his world is better once the routine of school starts again.

Eli and his friend Max - who did not want his picture taken

This is what he looked like when he got home. He said he could see shooting stars when he wore his sunglasses.

Just a side note - when did Blakey grow up. He looks so old in this picture - I don't love it..
