Mecha Monday : More Stompy-Bot Goodness

 More Stompy-Bot Goodness

Been sorting out the basement playroom, and I came across a box I've had ages but don't play. So I did. GKR, Heavy Hitters, this was a kickstarter from Weta Workshop that just went crazy Set-up for two forces, green vs yellow Yellow's main mech Green's main mech The game is based in a corporate-world mech violence mixed with advertising/tv. So the goal is to 'tag' buildings with Ads to gain sponsorship (extra perk cards), when the building is tagged enough it collapses. The winner either collapses four buildings or takes out the opponents main mech.

Mecha Monday: Battle Titans 40k

The Battle Titans are the most commonly deployed classes of Titan and provide the backbone of any Titan Legion's strength. The rare Emperor Titans are the true kings of the battlefield in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, and the two classes of these Titans are used to provide a Titan Legion's primary offensive and defensive power.

Tanker's Tuesday: Battlegroup Northag, Interview with Rules Author

A talk with Warwick Kinrade - author of Battlegroup Northag by the Plastic Soldier Company.

Battlegroup Northag

For those that know and love the Battlegroup system (and those of you that have yet to embrace Battlegroup!), Northag carries a lot of its DNA from the parent WW2 system, like the Battle rating system and army list building, but has been specifically designed and streamlined for the smaller scale of 10mm (1/144th) to allow for more vehicles on the table and longer gun ranges.

Mecha Monday - Heavy Gear: Blitz! Battle Report

Heavy Gear is set on a distant, fictional planet called Terra Nova around 4,000 Earth Standard Years from now (AD 6132). Terra Nova was once the pride of the United Earth Government's colonies. However, an economic collapse forced the UEG government to abandon Terra Nova and all its other colonies centuries before the period depicted in the game setting, leaving Terra Nova in a dark age. Eventually, City-states rose from the ashes and either through treaties or tyranny, united to form national unions called Leagues. These Leagues would in turn ally (again either peacefully or forcibly) to form the superpower blocs that dominated the temperate southern and northern hemispheres of the planet.
