My Last Card for Chi Chi Memories :( - But It's a Super Sketch!!

This is my last project for Chi Chi Memories but I tried to make it an especially good one!
Instead of a card this time I used the challenge sketch to make a Bookmark using 3 of the super cute Chi Chi images!

The Stampman - Anything Goes
Creatalicious - 3D
Digi Doodle Shop - Punches or Die Cuts
Scrap Stamp and Doodle - Digi
Dare U2 Digi - Stitching
Blackleaf Designs - Use Your Scraps
Practical Scrappers - Use 7 or more items (cardstock, patterned paper, Copic's, images, Spellbinders dies, ribbon, brads, metal letters)

Bookmark Recipe:
Images - Chi Chi Memories
Paper - Ducks in a Row by October Afternoon
Medium - Copic Markers
Die Cuts - Spellbinders
Brads - Basic Grey
Letters- Joanns

I attached brass colored metal letters spelling READ on to the bookmarks ribbon.

I think this is a cute project to use the sketch for and I hope you've enjoyed the past couple of months of my projects for Chi Chi Memories as much as I've enjoyed making them!

Digital Delights Freebie Friday!

Happy Freebie Friday!
Just in time for those last minute Christmas cards Wendy has provided a super cute Freebie!

Just a reminder that you can now find the freebies at our groups at Papercraft Planet and SNR Card Universe All you have to do is join one or both of our groups and the image is yours. Your can find it under the subject Freebie Friday in the discussions area!!) Be sure to become a follower of the groups of your choice so you can be sure to keep up to date with our fun happenings!!

As I had Ridley in my hot hands a few days before you could grab him I thought I'd make a card too!
I used a few challenges along the way.

Paper Take had a fabulous sketch
Creative Inspirations wanted a Card and Tag set
Polly Craft wanted "Anything Christmas"
Polkadoodle wanted 3 papers and a Rubber Stamp (used one for the sentiment)
2 Red Bananas wanted a Christmas or Winter card
Stamping Vacation had a "Pick 3" and I chose Patterned Paper with Glittered Images, Red Glitter and Color and Image with Glitter
Creatalicious wanted Christmas, Snowflakes, Sparkle and Glitter (got all of those here!)
Digital Tuesday wanted Christmas Sparkle (and a digi of course)
Scrap Stamp and Doodle had a Christmas theme
Dare U2 Digi had a color combo of Red and Green and a Neutral

The great thing about Digital Images (apart from how cute they are!) is that you can size them just how you want, different sizes for different projects!
So I printed out Ridley in both card size and tag size for this cute pair.
I colored Ridley with Copic's and added Candy Cane Stickles to his hat and coat and Puffy Paint to his beard and hat.
I also added Diamond Stickles to the snowflakes for some added glitter.
The dp are from a stack from last year at Hobby Lobby.
The sentiment is Studio G and I matted it on a Pinking Circle Nestie.

I certainly had fun creating this set and I highly encourage you to run over to either Papercraft Planet or SNR Card Universe, join either (or both) groups and grab this Fantastic Friday Freebie!
Have fun with him!

Pixie Cottage Showcase

Hi and Happy Weekend!
It's time for another showcase at The Pixie Cottage and the Design Team have come up with some super ideas for the new stamps.
Stamps are arriving almost daily at Michelle's Scrapbooking so be sure to go over and check to see if your favorite is there.
This time the team could decide to use whichever theme they liked for their project but as I'm in the Holiday Mood I kept with the Christmas theme.
There are a few challenges this fits as well:
The Crafty Pad had a recipe of 1 circle, 2 ribbons, 3 papers, 4 gems and some sparkle
Corrosive Challenges wanted to see some Embossing
Little Paper Shop wanted a Die Cut and I used Spellbinders to make my hang tag
Colour Create had the combo of Green, Red and White with the option of Christmas
Whimsy Stamps wanted "Anything But A Card" and the same challenge was at Crafty Angels
Challenge Up Your Life wanted a Festive Box/Package
Die Cut Dreams want to see Santa!
Stamp With Fun had a Christmas theme
Creatalicious wanted "Something for Christmas and some Sparkle!"
2 Red Bananas had a sketch that worked for the front of my tin.
Kaboodle Doodles wanted Buttons, Bows and Bling
Creative Inspirations wants some "Sparkle"

This time I chose The Jolly Old Elf by Alisa Ramirez and he was so much fun to work with!
I decided not to make a card but instead did an altered lunchbox that could be used for all sorts of things at this time of year. You could leave cookies in it for Santa on Christmas Eve, save cards, notes, receipts etc in it or fill it with treats to give as a gift.
I colored him with Copic's and then gave him the "Puffy Paint Treatment" all over his "fluffy bits".

I covered the handle with fabulous Christmas ribbons (wired ones work best) and tied one in a bow right in the middle of the handle.

Here you can see a close of Santa in all his fluffy fineness! LOL

I added an embossed image as a "hangtag" and I love how the white core of the cardstock shows through on the image. It is mounted on an Inverted Scallop circle Nestie and also has star buttons on it's "tail".

On the lid I added a floral pick from last year, it's got fake candy on it too to add a sweet touch! When creating projects remember there are many places you can find things that may work for you.

I hope you've enjoyed my little project and be sure to check out all the fabulous work of the designers at The Pixie Cottage today!

Challenge #2 at The Pixie Cottage

Sorry for the triple post day but it's worth it!
Also remember to click on my photo banner at the top for details of my 20000th hit blog candy!
It's time for another challenge at The Pixie Cottage and this time it's a theme challenge of "Celebrate!"
This means a birthday card, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Wedding, New Baby, really any great occasion fits this!

I used some more current challenges to help me in the creation.
Three Clovers gave me the sketch this week.
Charisma Cardz wanted Delightful Daisies
Scrap Masters Finally Friday wanted Embossing and Layering
Frosted Designs wanted to see you Pop It Up with layers/pop dots etc
Crafty Catz wanted Buttons or Brads
365 Cards Day 240 wanted a decorated pin
Creatalicious had a recipe of scraps of dp (I have tons of those!), new cardstock, and handmade flowers (I wonder who made those daisies! Hee Hee!)
Just Us Girlswanted 3D Flowers
One Stop Craft also had a Celebration theme
Allsortswanted a Furry Friend and I don't know if a cow is really furry but she certainly is cute enough!

I used the super cute cow designed by Alisa Ramirez that you can get at Michelle's Scrapbooking
I colored her with Copic's and matted her on green. Then I embossed a piece of Coredinations cardstock with a Daisy embossing folder and sanded it so the color showed through. Then I added another green mat.
I used the new Martha Stewart Daisy border punch to create a double border and then topped it with ribbon.
I printed the sentiment out and double matted it too. Then I added it to the card with Pop Dots.
Finally I created the pin from a heart jewelry finding from Hobby Lobby and a selection of glass and pearl beads and a premade bow from Offray.
The flowers were punched, sanded and fastened with a brad. Then I folded the petals upwards to add more depth.
The dp is from some DCWV scraps from an old stack.

The inside is more dp with a message mat.

I know she's not really very furry but she sure looks cute and friendly!

The Copic's I used for this card are:
Y11 - Pale Yellow
Y15 - Cadmium Yellow
Y17 - Golden Yellow
C1 - Cool Grey #1
C3 - Cool Grey #3
E93 - Tea Rose

I'd love to see your Celebration cards so please go and create and then post them for us all to see at The Pixie Cottage, you maybe the winner of a new stamp so it's worth a try!
