Time for a Cool Down - Winter Wonderland Card

It is still getting into the 90's here in Texas and I could really do with a cool down. As the weather channel don't seem to be sending me one I thought I may make my own with a Christmas Card! LOL
This is my 1st Christmas card this year and I really like how it turned out.
The April stamp was actually a Valentines stamp but with a little careful cutting and a Winter color theme I think she works well for this card too.

Challenges:
365 Cards Day 206 - Winter Wonderland Scene
Raise the Bar - Bundle Up
ABC Christmas - T is for Tree
2 Sisters - Christmas
Sew Many Challenges - Christmas
Aimees - Christmas Wishes
Creative Inspirations - 2 of More Stamped Images
Fresh Brewed - Paper Piecing
Sketch and Stash - Sketch
Christmas Card Challenge - Distressing
ABC - D for Distressing
Let's Ink It Up - Favorite Stamp and a Charm
Belli - B themed embellishments, Bow and Brads
The Pink Elephant - Aqua, DP and any Embellishment
AI Factory - Anything Goes
Charisma - Anything Goes
Moving Along with the Times - To Do List: 2 dps, glitter (in the paper), embossing (I heat embossed the puffy paint)

Card Recipe:
Images - Winter Window and April With Hearts
Paper - My Minds Eye and Basic Grey
Medium - Copic Markers and Airbrush System
Snowflake charms - Making Memories
Puffy Paint - Tulip

I managed to get it to work this morning :)
You can see that I paper pieced Aprils bow and dress and colored the rest of her and the image with Copic's. I airbrushed with W3 and E40 to give a (hopefully) dusk feeling to the image. Then finally I added Puffy Paint to certain areas of the the snow and heated it to pop it up.
I don't know whether April is peeking in at Santa's workshop, going to start caroling but whatever she is doing I think she looks cute and hope you do too.

Challenge #6 at Cooking It Up! - New Christmas Tilda

Happy Turkey Day!
I don't know if you'll read this today or tomorrow but I wish you and yours all the best and hug them and be Thankful for what you have as you never know when it will change.
It's time for another challenge at my Cooking It Up With Katie blog!
This weeks recipe is a simple one;

Use a brad
Use something in 3's (as in 3 flowers, 3 ribbons, 3 words etc)
Use Red

See I told you it was easy!
Obviously I don't do cards with just one challenge so here are a few more this works for:

Sketch and Stash gave me the sketch
Paper Play want you to "Read All About It" and use paper with text
Pile It On wants to see Rub On's
Opus Gluei had a theme of Sweetie Pie
Paper Maniac wants you to "Use Those Flowers"
Magnolia Down Under wants a Christmas Card
Whimsy Stamps also want a Christmas Card
Creative Friday had a recipe of (if my German serves me correct!) 2 different papers, 3 flowers, 1 embellishment, ribbon and the color Red
Everybody Art had a Christmas Theme

I am super excited to use one of the brand new Holiday Tilda stamps by Magnolia. I ordered 5 from the new collection and for this card I chose Christmas Party Tilda and I think if she was colored in different colors she'd work for birthdays too so she's a great buy!
I stamped her twice and colored her with Copic's. Then I cut one out and popped her on top for extra dimension.
The dp are from the Jolly Holiday paper stack from Hobby Lobby.
The flowers are from Brides and the spotted brads are The Paper Studio.
I don't remember where the Happy Holidays rub on came from I'm afraid.
The border punch is the Deco Fan from Martha Stewart and the Holly ribbon is from Michaels.

Inside is more of the Happy Holidays dp and a ribbon topped message mat.

I hope you can the see the depth on Tilda now she's popped up :)

I hope you like this one and I'd love to see you join in at my Cooking It Up With Katie Challenge!

New Card For Lily Boo Too!

Happy November!
I can't believe another month has rolled around.
It's time for a new challenge at Lily Boo Too and this time the theme is Purple!
You can create anything just as long as purple is the main color.
I used a couple of other challenge to help me along the way.
Sketch and Stash gave me the sketch
The Pixie Cottage wanted Celebration cards
Tuesday Taggers wanted to see a "Burst of Color"
Crafty Angels wanted to see a Charm

I used Betty with Balloons from the Betty and Friends collection and I think she looks all ready for a party!
I colored her with Copic's and added Paper Studio brads to the corners.
The dp are a mix of DCVW from different stacks including Nana's Kids and Nana's Nursery. The "Celebrate" charm is from a set at Target from my stash.
I colored the flower with Copic's to match the papers.

The inside is simply more dp and a message mat.

I'd love to see you grab your purple papers, markers etc and join in the fun this month at Lily Boo Too!

Freebie Friday At Digital Delights!

Happy Friday!
Yet another week has gone by and that's good news as it means it's time for another Freebie from Digital Delights and it sure is a great one!

As part of the team I got to play with it early and I found a few challenges that it worked with too.
My Time To Craft wanted Quick and Cute
2 Red Bananas wanted Purple, Black and Orange
Sketch and Stash gave me the sketch
Allsorts had a Halloween theme
Digital Tuesday had Halloween as their theme too.
ABC had F for Flying and the bat balloons are definitely flying!

I printed him out nice and large, a huge benefit of digital stamps, and then colored it with Copics'.
The papers are from DCVW from a previous years collection.
The sentiment is 7 Gypsies and the chipboard letters are by Provo Craft.

The inside is just more dp and a message mat.

He's so cute and he's FREE so what are you waiting for? LOL
Go and grab him and play. Remember there is a sketch challenge running right now at Delightful Sketches and you could use this cutie to enter that too!
Have a great weekend.

BOO! A new card for Pile It On with 12 other challenges!

Happy Sunday!
It's time for another new challenge from the Pile It On Team! and this time our challenge was to use 3D items on our projects, anything but flat!
We got to play with the wonderful images from Soft Pencil and I chose this super cute Michu on a Broom!
This week was a first for me as I combined 2 different challenge sketches! They were very similar and 2nd said it was fine to use the sketch as a base and add to it so I was fine!
Paper Maniac gave me one sketch and Sketch and Stash gave me the other!
CCEE Stampers wanted you to Go Digital
Die Cuts R Us wanted 2 products they sell in their store
Fun With Shapes had a Halloween Theme
Gingersnap Creations wanted bling
Belli wanted Halloween colored Bling
Charisma Cardz wanted to see the Decoupage technique
Dutch Dare wanted us to be So Charming
Stamp With Sarah Kay had an Animal theme (and allow any brand of stamp)
Whimsy Stamps - The Eyes Have It
Cooking It Up With Katie wanted some Metal, a border punch and the image of something "alive"

I colored Michu 3 times and cut him out and decoupaged the image.
I added bat eyelets that I turned into charms hanging from the mat.
The mat is cut from a scalloped Nestie and embossed with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder. I also added an embossed border topped with ribbon to the side panel.
The papers are from an old DCWV stack.
The sentiment is a rub on that I added eyes to!

The inside is more dp and the message mat has a punched bat border from an EK Success border punch.

Here's a close up of Michu and the decoupaging (I'm not sure if that's a word! LOL)
So get out your 3D embellishments and get creating!
