Blender Challenge entry

Good morning everyone. Wow it has been a long time since I did a post for Mad for Markers and I am truly sorry to Miss Sammi but thankfully she has been a super duper friends and understands my woes. Anyway - a card to enter in to the Blender Challenge at Copic Oz. What that means is that they want you to use your blender somewhere on your creation so what better use of the blender than using it for scales on the little mermaid. I have just spotted the blender on her tail to make it look like she has scales. What do you all think...??? She is cute regardless.

Copics used:
Skin: E0000, 00, 11, 02
Hair: BV0000, 00, 02

Friday Sketch #11 and M4M

Good afternoon all my lovely friends. Hope we are all well. Just a quick one. We have another fabulous sketch from Genevieve this fortnight over at Friday Sketch Challenge. I used the TGF Wedding image. Can't remember the name of it. LOL. Hopeless. I made this card for one of my school mum friends who knows I make cards. Thankfully it was a hit.

I combined this with my M4M post as my little girl went in to hospital to get some dental work done under anesthetic and I didn't want to do two posts. Lazy I know. All went well with my little girl and she is back to her normal self.

I decorated the middle of the card as well.

Friday Sketch Challenge #1 by Debra

Good afternoon everyone. What a wonderfully glorious day it was here in Melbourne - makes this all the better to announce. Yay...!!! The first ever challenge over at Friday Sketch Challenge. The very talented Debra has designed this sketch for us this fortnight. I love it.
I have used Sasha from the Creeper Crew set from TGF. She is just so darn chic with those cowboy boots. I actually coloured her up at Paperific in April but forgot I had her. So here she is.

Please join us in our first challenge. The prize is awesome. As well as an awesome prize pack I put together with the help of Sammi at Mad for Markers, we also have Make it Crafty putting up a $15 worth of Digital stamps as a prize. How awesome is that...!!! Remember this challenge will run for a fortnight so you have lots of time.

Good morning everyone.
It is my Mad for Markers day
so I am here to show you a fab stamp that is now
available in store right here.
This is Birthday Ian. I must admit that I am not
very good with boy cards even though I have two boys
myself. Will have to make an effort. LOL.
I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday
for this card. What do you think..???
Enjoy your day.

No lines

So sorry I have been MIA lately. I have been concentrating on making a few bears. Yes I know. My new obsession LOL. I promise that I will have some cards for you next week or at least a few completed bears to show you - I have 4 going at the moment. I am a typical Gemini. I will finish them though.

Over at Zoe's Make It Crafty FB group a challenge was set a little while ago to colour an image but light coloured ink so when it is coloured it looks like it has no defined lines. OMG you wouldn't believe how hard that truly is. I really do rely on those black lines but thought I would give it a go. Now I am fully admitting that this is not good. I need a lot of practice but it is my first attempt and possibly my last LOL. We will see. Anyway. I stamped the image out in pink Memento ink.

Been dealing with some issues with Tyler and some 'bullying' - but not in the traditional sense. He doesn't think there is much wrong but what is happening is and it is upsetting and downright cruel to all the kids that are copping it. A word will be said to the teacher tomorrow as I am sure it will continue - not just to Tyler but to the others in his class. Crossing my fingers that I don't cry or get too emotional when talking to her about it.

TGF Bonnie for M4M

Again this week for my Mad for Markers Thursday I used the sketch from the challenge - go here to see the details but be quick as you only have a couple days left before the challenge ends. I used Miss Bonnie from the new Blush range from TGF. Again what a cutie. Can't wait to get my hands on more.

I thought I would try and do some pleats. It worked out really well and if you want to know how to do what I have achieved in this card go here and visit Zoe's blog. She has made a great video to teach how to do this. Thanks for joining us today.

Kraft Fun

Afternoon everyone. You know when you make a card and forget what challenge it was for until it was too late....?? Well I did it again. This card was made with the sketch from Mojo Monday. Damn - I missed the deadline so here it is.

I stamped this cutie on Kraft in Rich Cocoa ink for something different. Coloured her with Copics but the 'sky' is with Prismacolor pencil.

Bron's Sketch

Morning everyone. Seeing it is my Mad for Markers post day so I thought I would put together a card using this week's challenge - Sketch by Bron. I turned it on it's side to allow for the oval and Miss Babette. Aren't the new stamps by TGF so cute and, of course, are available from Mad for Markers but you had better be quick - I think they are running out the door.

So for this card I actually used the same piece of DP but because I don't have any other DP that matched I cut out the pieces in the 'puzzle' for the sketch and put it back together. I am my biggest critic so there was a lot more that I could have done with this card but this will certainly do for now. Thanks for looking.

Princess no.3

Morning everyone. I have got to say TGIF and also thank god it is the last day of the school holidays. Another normal weekend and then the kids are back at school and kinder. They are kinda driving me a bit batty. They have a bit of cabin fever and even when told not to go outside (like yesterday) they do and ruin the grass in the backyard. Ahhhh I swear I nearly took their heads off LOL. Oh well kids. Who would have them.

My card today was made for a friends little girl who turned two this week. She is a little blond princess - she is totally gorgeous actually so had to make a princess card for her. Hope she likes it. I used Princess No.3 from TGF that the gorgeous Sammi bought me for my birthday. In fact she spoiled me rotten and bought me lots of TGF stamps. I felt like a princess myself. Enjoy your Friday. It is actually sunny here in Melbourne.

SS #163

Good morning darlings. How are we all....???? I am feeling kinda tired this week already. Can't wait for the school holidays to be over. Sick of the fighting, whinging and just plain silly screaming going on in the house. The only thing I am looking forward to is a dear old friend coming to visit us with her girls. Haven't seen her for a long time so am very much looking forward to a catch up.

Anyway I made this card using the Sketch Saturday sketch #163. I used the new stamp from TGF - Piper. Love that name. I picked her up from Mad for Markers but unfortunately she is currently sold out - wow - I know. Stay tuned. I am sure Sammi will have her back in stock soon.

To you from Me

Good morning everyone. Just thought I would make a card for the hell of it.

You know when you get a 6x6 paper pad and it has these gorgeous papers in it that have a huge border that you just don't want to cover. Well that is what happened with this DP. I love it but really didn't want to do much with it and frankly I don't think you can. So I thought I would make this simple card that just flips out at the middle. Enjoy your Monday.

Red Hair Challenge

Good morning everyone. It is Monday and that means it is time for a new challenge over at Mad for Markers challenge. I am host for the new challenge. Did we all enjoy the Brown Hair challenge....??? Hope so as this fortnight we have another hair challenge.

Red Hair

There really are a lot of red hair combinations that you could use. I like to try and stick to the natural 'Strawberry blond' colours but I am sure if you are so inclined you could go for more red red colours. The possibilities are limitless. Try YR02, 04, 07 or E95, 97, 99. On this image I used E11, YR14, E08 but if you wanted to make it a bit darker I would have used E39 or E29. Have fun most of all.

Can't wait to see what you create.

Hair: E11, YR14, E08

A wish for you

Morning sweet darlings. Hope you are all well. Sorry for the lack of posting lately but between myself and my kids we have been a sick household. I have had 'Shingles' apparently, although I didn't have anything but the itchy rash to annoy the hell out of me and my kids have had gastro. So not a happy household - I have been reading lots too.

Anyway today I have a card I made to remind you of the Mad for Markers Challenge of 'Brown Hair' and also I made using the sketch from Sketch Saturday. The fabulous TGF stamp is 'Ryan' and he is available in store at Mad for Markers as well as some other gorgeous TGF stamps. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Copics used:
Hair: E70, 74, 79
Skin: E000, 11, 04
Vest: R22, 24, 29
Jeans: B0000, 21, 95, 97
Shading: C1, blender
Shoes: C9, C5

Enjoy your day.

A star is born

Good morning everyone. How are we all...??? Good I hope. Here in good old Melbourne we are all travelling very well. Today I have a card to show you made for the current challenge at Mad for Markers which is to use 'Greys'. If you haven't popped by the challenge blog for a while you will notice that we have changed things up a little - we have changed the challenges from monthly to fortnightly - so still gives you enough time to make something but you aren't waiting as long for the next challenge. I decided to colour the whole stamp in grey and use colours on the card. I used 'Tyler' from the Creeper Crew Set available at Mad for Markers.

Copics used:
C0, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10
Other: Express It Blending card.

PDCC77

The Greeting Farm are sponsoring The Play Date Cafe Challenge this week and I thought I would play along. I have not encounted PDCC before but must say I am pleased I found out about the challenge as I just love it. I saw this colour combo above and knew instantly what image to use. This Creeper is from The Greeting Farm Creeper set - her name is Jill. Don't you just love the grumpy face.....!!!! The sentiment rocks too and is also from TGF - a set called Because of You that I bought from the lovely Sammi at Mad for Markers.

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I (so far) have had an excellent weekend. My official weigh in was yesterday for my 12 Week Weightloss Challenge and I did really well - don't know if it will be enough to win but I don't mind I have won already. If you want to see my results go here.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just coz........

Good morning. Gosh another week has passed us by and what a slow week it has been for us here. School holidays. My first ones basically as my eldest is in Prep this year. Ahhhh they really are driving me crazy LOL. Shopping by myself is in order tomorrow after I have my official weigh in at Zumba in Melbourne - will be nice to see how much I lost - and please cross your fingers for me. I want to win the challenge LOL.
Anyway on to this card. I coloured this image in at the Paperific Craft Show at the start of the month at the Mad for Markers stall. I fell in love with this cutie. Got myself the Creeper Crew for myself yay. Stay tuned for lots of Creeper creations. This one is Harlow. Ain't she the coolest chickie. LOL. Enjoy your Friday. Might get busy creating and might be back later.

After last weeks post I was stuck as to what colours to use as I didn't want to use the same ones but came up with these.

I got my inspiration from Chrissy at Paper, Ink, Color! I am in awe of her colouring ability and watch her tutorials all the time. So much detail in one little image.

Cheeky Beach

Morning everyone. Hope you are all well. I am still tired from the weekend but seriously had such a wonderful time you wouldn't believe especially when I went out to dinner on Saturday night with the fabulous Sammi and Marcia and of course Sammi's sweet hubby, Guy (pronounced Gee).

At the Paperific Craft Show I put this card up on the wall to show the stamps that Sammi had available at the Mad for Markers stall and forgot to take a photo of it beforehand - so here it is. I really like this Cheeky Beach stamp (available at Mad for Markers). So cute (another one).

Airbrush System with Spica Pens

Over this past weekend Mad for Markers were at the Paperific Craft Show at the Royal Melbourne Show Grounds. We all had an absolute ball and I met so many gorgeous crafting friends - Hello to you all.

At the show we had Mandy from Copic Australia (Express Graphics) come over and show us how to use the Copic Airbrush System with the Atyou Spica pens. It takes a lot of getting used to as you can't sit the pen in the 'barrel' (so to speak) but it is effective. Unfortunately these photos don't do it justice. It is so much more sparky in real life. I used the TGF Syren stamp that I purchased from Mad for Markers (Sammi) at the show. I love colouring her hair. So cute.

I did a side view just to show you the sparkle on the card airbrushed but still
doesn't look quite as nice as IRL.
I airbrushed the swirls with Purple Spica pen.

Copics used:
Skin: E0000, 000, 00, 21
Hair: YG21, 23, 63, 67, blender
Tail: BV000, 02, 04, 08, Purple Spica
Airbrushed with a Green spica pen
Rhinestones: YG23.
