Wow, these months are seriously flying by right?! I can’t believe Mine and Isalys’ birthday is in two weeks! We do not want to keep getting older lol. Anyhoo, thank you ALL for participating in our R.A.K. feature. We truly enjoy seeing all the bookish love being spread!

Bloggiesta Wrap Up Day 1

Today’s Bloggiesta event was sooo much fun! Isalys and I got together with a few of our bloggy besties, Ash from Smash Attack Reads and Jen from Not Now I’m Reading and spent an awesome afternoon/early evening chatting away and crossing things off our to-do lists. In honor of bloggiesta, we headed over to Lime, one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, and had us some yummy Mexican food!

To Do List:

Catch up on ALL our emails
Update all our network buttons
~~Update our Blog Roll (it has mysteriously vanished and I think it's a sign that it needs a refresher)~~
~~Add some nifty little banners of our favorite series...just for the pretties!~~
~~Possibly add a "Bloggy Events" section to our sidebar~~
Make sure all our gadgets are updated and working properly
Update HTML code so followers can leave threaded comments (this one is going to be tricky!)
Organize Google Reader
Make some progress on our Super Sekrit Project for April
Work on reviews and set up tours for April (also part of our 'SSP')
Update our "Reviews" tab so that it functions like an Index
Make sure all reviews are posted on Goodreads and Amazon
Possibly organize a giveaway to find new homes for old books
Visit our fave blogs and comment more often

Isalys's New Amazing Bookshelf!

I am a woman in love...with my new bookshelf/display cabinet!

Over the weekend my hubs and I decided to go cruising and we ended up stopping at our favorite local antique store.

As we're walking around, my husband says to me, "Oh shit! Just found something you're going to love. I'm not telling you what it is though, you have to find it." So of course, I start perusing slowly waiting for something to jump out at me and go "boo". As I work my way around, my hubs then says, "You're getting warmer! When you see it, don't scream or break anything, okay?"

And then...
The clouds parted, a light shined down from the heavens and there, as if waiting for me was the bookshelf/display cabinet of my DREAMS! A mini English Red Telephone booth (circa 1956)...three and a half feet of FUCKING AWESOME!!

My brain was taken over by the Demon of Uncertainty for about a nanosecond, but then the Angel of Logic stepped in and said, "Nu uh, you're buying this!" It reminded me that I was in an antique store and this was likely not going to be there for very long!

Look at it...isn't it glorious? I'm like a proud mom! *sniffle*

On the top shelf, I have my little red post box, my little black English taxi and a little English flag. I still need to find a double-decker bus and Big Ben. Then below it I have my English Historical Fiction lit...how perfect is that?

My office, aka my Little English Haven, is my favorite room in the house! I need a few more touches here 'n there (I have my eye on a badass London Collage that I want to have framed and I need some Union Jack stuff) but I think you guys see where I'm going with it ;)

*Squee* I am one happy girl :D

Movies to look forward to!

So far 2012 is turning out to be a really great year for movies :)

The Woman in Black was spooktacular {see Isa's movie review} and The Hunger Games has been a box office hit but there are even more awesome movies to look forward to this year :)
