Fun Color Challenge

The Paper Players have a challenge to use So Saffron, Bermuda Bay, and Mint Macaron.  Perfect colors to try the circle technique.

I love this!  Cut the circles (it took me a few tries to get the right sizes), die cut some layers using Waffle Flower Layers dies, and added a Taylored Expressions sentiment strip.  Love!!

Christmas is on the Way!

The Paper Players has a "By the Numbers" challenge.

I used the Stampin Up 25 Days of Christmas embossing folder inked with Old Olive in a new-to-me technique.  I edged the panel in gold, and then used stash ribbon to make it look like a package.  The stars were too small to use my gold marker, so I thinned a drop of gold reinker, and used a pin to paint.  Not perfect, then then neither are the stars!

Fur Baby Sympathy

A dear friend just lost her Golden Retriever.

I like clean and simple sympathy cards  Darice embossing folder, Unity sentiment.  The paper and ink are More Mustard.  Sharing this with The Paper Players, Ann's CAS challenge - Animals.

I think that the loss of pets has been even harder during quarantine.  We are spending so much time at home with them.  Plus there are very few rescue puppies available, at least in the mid-west.  After losing our Yellow Lab last November, we applied for 53 dogs before we were chosen as Charli's new family.

Grateful

In the midst of COVID 19, job loss, the American election, violence in Ethiopia, and so many other challenges, I forget how really blessed I am.  I have a loving family, food to eat, and a roof over my head.  I am truly grateful!!!

The pretty "grateful" die cut is from In Love Arts.  The die is super delicate, so I ran the paper through my Xyron before I cut it.  The paper is from the Echo Park club kit, the gold twine from my stash.

Double Trouble Part II

I made another attempt at the Double Trouble

Challenge #1 - make something.  Check!

Challenge #2 - include a telephone.  Emma Nutt, who became the world's first female telephone operator on September 1, 1878.  Check!

Challenge #3 - link up to one of their previous challenge partners.  I did it this time!!!!

I broke out my ancient Cricut and used the Wild Card cartridge to cut the sentiment and the phone in black, and the dial out of silver.  The stitching on the stripe and polka dot was done with an ancient tracing wheel since I didn't have any dies in those proportions.

I managed to complete the top row of The Paper Players Tic Tac Toe challenge:

Happy New Year!

Playing along with The Paper Players sketch challenge:

SU! Winter Frost paper, Avery Elle Cheers sentiment, Lawn Fawn snowflake die.  I like making all types of holiday cards, because not everyone celebrates the same way.

New Year's in July?!?

I have a number of friends who do not celebrate Christmas, I try to make a few cards that are general Celebrate or New Year's.
I paired a great sentiment from a new-to-me Avery Elle set with a die from The Paper cut.  These older MAMBI papers matched Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide perfectly!!  Sharing this with Shopping Our Stash Hanukkah/Christmas in July and The Paper Players Fancy Fold challenge.

Thanks - Clean and Simple

Making one layer card is a real stretch for me.  The more layers, the better!  The Paper Players has a CAS thank you card.
Kaleidoscope Caribbean Sea ink array for the color column, but I am clueless as to the stamps. Any ideas?

Sunshine or Sunburst?!?

The Paper Players has a Sunshine & Rainbows challenge.  Maybe not sunshine, but a sunburst:
Bazzill paper scraps, Simon Says and old Fiskars sentiments.
Not exactly sunshine, but will a sunburst work?!?

I paired a beautiful paper from DCWV Taj Mahal with shiny gold for this:

I made another one with the same stack, but used a patterned metallic gold paper:
