One Layer Christmas

Today my card is for 52 Christmas Throwdown  who want a
ONE LAYER CARD WITH A HINT OF ONE COLOUR and/or RIBBON OR BLING

Here it is

I heat embossed the sentiment and Poinsettia, and lightly sponged the petal tips in red. I then sponged red over the sentiment through a Nestie. I cut the card edges with scissors and sponged the inside card so that the red showed up the shapes, all finished with a few gems

Supplies
All are Stampin' Up unless stated otherwise
Card = white base FMS
Stamps = Joyful Christmas
Inks = Versamark and Real Red
Tools = Heat Gun, Nestabilities, and Fiskars Scissors
Extras = Silver Pearl EP and Gems

I'm now going back to bed as I'm still suffering ill effects from my treatment.

Thanks for dropping by

China Tea Cup

My card today is for three challenges

The first is Color Throwdown with these colours,

second is Stampin' Royalty, who want a ONE LAYER CARD,

and lastly, Less is More want a One Layer Card that is NOT SQUARE OR RECTANGULAR

This is my card

The colours made me think of the designer Cath Kidston and her small blossom prints, and so my idea of a one layer Tea Cup card was born. I drew a cup and saucer freehand and randomly stamped the flowers and leaves around the central sentiment

Supplies :
Card = Ivory base FMS
Stamps = Baby Blossoms and Tea Shoppe
Inks = Black, Crumb Cake, So Saffron, Melon Mambo, and Bermuda Bay
Tools = Stamp-a-ma-jig

Hope you're having a great weekend, and I hope you can call again soon

Blue Butterfly

My second card today, is a One Layer card that I've made for two challenges.

The first is Less is More, where I had miss read that the rules of a COLOURED CARD BLANK was also supposed to be ONE LAYER,

and the second is this colour combo from Dynamic Duos who are celebrating their first Anniversary

Here it is

The card was embossed with a double line frame around the edge, and then the butterfly and sentiment stamped within them. I find it very difficult to stop at just one layer, as I'm always tempted to add ribbons or embellishments, but you sometimes need to be tested outside your comfort zone!

Supplies :
Card = Pool Party base FMS
Stamps = Swallowtail and Verve
Inks = Island Indigo
Tools = Embossing tool and board FMS

Hope to be back soon with the other makes from today

One Layer Wonder

Yaaaay! I've just seen that I came Top 3 again at one of my favourite challenges, Make My Monday, with my Monochrome card, Thanks so Much to their DT.

My card today is for two challenges, firstly Make My Monday who want a

                                   CAS ONE LAYER CARD

and Color Throwdown who have these spring colours for us

Here is my card

A One Layer card always throws me for a while, but once I decide on the stamp set I want to use, the rest just seems to follow. I started by stamping the central flower, and then covering it with a Post It note, and stamping the next flowers to the side so they looked like they were behind it. I added some stamped leaves and sponged a background through a Nestie aperture in some scrap paper that I cut in the Big Shot, and finished with a sentiment.

The words are from Verve Stamps and were my Prize from the Mojo Monday
challenge. They have a sale on at the moment, so feel free to click on the link for a browse through the online shop.

Supplies :
Card = White base FMS
Stamps = Greenhouse Garden, French Foliage and Verve
Inks = Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence, Always Artichoke, and Crushed Curry
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilitie, Stamp-a-ma-jig, and Post It's

Yesterday, I had a busy day playing Dinosaurs, so I've had this morning to myself to make a card. Now I've done this, I'm off to play with Nathan and Sophie again.

Thanks for dropping by

Butterfly Stripes

This is my card of today, and I'll be sending it in for these two challenges:

Dynamic Duo's who have these colours, and

Simply Less is More  who want a ONE LAYER CARD with

            SPOTS AND STRIPES

Here is my card

First, I stamped the flowers with their spotty stems and added a few extra blue flowers. Then I stamped the two small butterflies, and added the sentiment to the bottom one. Next, I used my butterfly punch to make a shaped hole in some scrap paper, and positioned it near the centre of the card. I masked off a strip across the aperture and sponged along it with blue ink, then moved the masks and sponged in the gap with green ink, and continued along the whole area. When I removed the masks, I was left with white stripes as well which I quite liked so left them alone. The last thing was to stamp the body and spots on the wings of the large butterfly.

Supplies :
Card = White card FMS
Stamps = Simply Said and Flight of the Butterfly
Inks = Lucky Limeade and Pool Party
Tools = Butterfly punch, sponges and masking tape

                  #                                       #                                      #

I had forgotten to post this card. It was what we made at our Tuesday workshop.

The image was stamped onto some White card which was then cut up into nine tiles. The edges of these were sponged and then placed onto card brown card with a gap in between each one, then onto some blue card with a scalloped top. This was then placed on some DSP and wrapped with a green ribbon.

Supplies :
Card = Bashful Blue, Tan and White cards FMS
Stamps = Upsy Daisy and Verve
Inks = Gumball Green, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, and Tea Dye TH ink
Tools = Martha Stewart punch
Extras = ribbon and 3D pads

I'm in hospital for my RA treatment again on Wednesday so I may be off blogland for a few days while I recover in bed. I'm sorry that I haven't had chance to blog hop lately, but you can see by the times that I have posted my last few entries, just how late at night they have been, and I don't think the match sticks keeping my eyes open can hold for much longer!.

Have fun crafting, and I hope to be back as soon as I can to leave some comments.

Simple One Layer Card

I have been so busy today and I've had no time to myself until now. So to unwind from my day I decided to craft............however, I didn't know where to start!!

In the end I went with the yummy colours at Simply Stampin challenge

and then over at Less is More it's a real tricky challenge of a ONE LAYER CARD using THREE stamps

Well, after what felt like a lifetime, I made this simple card

Those of you who are not aware of Stampin' Up, ( which I use most of the time!!) may think that this is 2 stamps, but the butterfly is a 2 step stamp. The pink wings being 1, and the flower markings and body being 2, and the words are the third. For once I have stuck rigidly to Chrissie and Mandi's brief, so I hope I wont be on the naughty step today ( fingers crossed )

Recipe :
Card = White card base FMS
Stamps = Flight of the Butterfly
Inks = Regal Rose, Real Red, and Island Indigo
Tools = Stamp-a-ma-jig and Corner rounder

Tomorrow, I'm out again, but hope to be home in the afternoon for more crafting
