Autumn Hues

Is the weekend over already? Where does the time go? Thankfully, I found some time to make this card.

I stamped the trees in Versamark and heat embossed them with white powder, and sponged over them and a Post It note sun with the Fall colours, I did the same to some leaves on a strip of white card, but also added some randomly stamped leaves. I embossed some stripes on brown card and laid this by the side of the stamped card with 3D pads on a base. Instead of ribbon, the cards were wrapped with plated raffia of the three colours for a more masculine feel, and the trees and sentiment were added also on 3D pads.

I am entering these challenges :

The Autumn colours come from Color Throwdown

and the theme of
FALL at Paper Players,

The Male Room also have a FALL theme

Just Add Ink want a card for DAD

and lastly, Friday Mashup have this sketch, and want to see the

EMBOSSED RESIST technique

Card - Crumb Cake, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, and base FMS

I will be going to see her on Tuesday so I'll see how much she's changed over the weekend.

Until next time, thanks for dropping by

I stamped the tree with rust ink, and hand coloured the leaves with SU markers. I then cut it out using the shape from the outside of a Nestie for the top of the tag, and laid it on some rust card. This was then placed onto a randomly stamped base card with leaves, script, and splodges. It was finished off with a sentiment banner, ribbon and button.

California Dreaming!

My card today is for two challenges

The colours are from ColourQ

and the lay out from this sketch over at
Stampin' Royalty

This is what I did while driving myself mad singing the Mama's and Papa's song "All the leaves are brown"

I randomly stamped some text and a franking mark on some blue card and laid it on an ivory base. This was topped with some DSP, embossed rust card, and yellow card stamped with leaves and splodges.

The tree was stamped in rust and coloured with Write markers before cutting it with a Nestie and matting it on some navy card. The sentiment was done the same way with two leaves added for extra design.

Supplies :
Card = Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Rust and Navy, and Ivory base FMS
Stamps = Leaves of a Tree, French Foliage, and Verve
Inks = Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Midnight Muse, and Adirondack Rust

Extras = SU DSP, 3D pads, and Navy Organza Ribbon

and the second is CAS Colours and Sketches with these colours

Here is what I made

I randomly stamped leaves and splodges on some strips of silk card, and staggered them on a white base, and added the sentiment label on 3D pads.

After making the card, I wasn't sure if I liked it, so I added a thin black line around the edges of the strips so that they were more defined. Even now I'm not sure which I like more. What do you think?

Card = Clarity silk, and white base FMS
Stamps = French Foliage, and Fiskars
Inks = Certainly Celery, Calypso Coral, and Rust Adirondack

Bye for now

Folded Frame Card

My card today was made at our Craft Club workshop. I had in mind the  colour scheme from the Dynamic Duos challenge, so based my card around these.

This is it

I made my own DSP with a Blue flourish one side and a Raspberry script stamp on the other. It was scored and folded to create the four corners as the frame sides, and then it was laid on some raspberry card and then blue card. The butterflies were stamped in raspberry on White card and punched out and placed on 3D pads.

The sentiment  and a coordinated border is all on the inside.

Supplies :
Card = Raspberry Ripple, Pool Party, White card  and base FMS
Stamps = French Foliage, Baroque Motifs, Papillon Potpourri, and Verve
Inks = Raspberry Ripple and Pool Party
Tools = Stamp-a-ma-jig, Elegant and Cute Butterfly Punches
Extras = 3D pads

I have also made a new baby card for my sister who has made me an Auntie again at the weekend with the birth of little Henry George.

I embossed some blue card in the Big Shot, sponged the edges and wrapped it with a cream ribbon before laying it on a blue card base. The Ark was stamped in Black Archival on a white Nestie label, and coloured with Write Markers and an Aqua Painter.
I sponged over the edge of a scallop circle in the sky with blue to create clouds, and then layered this on a Navy, and a Crumb Cake label, before placing it down on 3D pads. I stamped the tag, layered it, and added it with a big cream bow.

For the greeting inside, I used a Curvy Verse broken up by a Verve sentiment so it reads,

" One little bundle of joy, many happy hearts!"

and I stamped the Ark again at the bottom of the insert in blue.

I hope Cass and Russell like it.

Supplies :
Card = Pacific Point, Night of Navy, Naturals White, Crumb Cake, and blue base FMS
Stamps = Two by Two, Curvy Verses and Verve
Inks = Black Archival, and Too Many to mention but all SU.
Tools  = Big Shot, Nestie Labels and scallop circle, Stamp-a-ma-jig, and Swirl EF
Extras = 3D pads and Ribbon

Hopefully, you haven't yet been bored to tears and have got this far down today's long post, for me to share with you the photos of Sophie and her rescued baby bunny.

Sophie is still breast feeding, and during a conversation her Mum was having with someone from the village explaining how they came about bringing Bunny home, the person asked Sophie if he was eating all her carrots, to which Sophie said " No he's having Mummy's boobies!!!"
My sister said she was so embarrassed by the response she just wanted to the earth to open up and swallow her.

Bless her. Out of the mouth of Babes!!!!!

Needless, to say, Mummy went straight home and got the carrots out for Sophie to give Bunny one.

As soon as the threat of cold weather is over, Bunny will be released back at the field for him to find his family or at least another bunny to live with.

Right, that's me done for tonight. I'm in hospital again tomorrow, so I may be AWOL for a few days but will hopefully be back soon.

Thanks for dropping by, and I hope I've not rambled on too much.

One Layer Wonder

Yaaaay! I've just seen that I came Top 3 again at one of my favourite challenges, Make My Monday, with my Monochrome card, Thanks so Much to their DT.

My card today is for two challenges, firstly Make My Monday who want a

                                   CAS ONE LAYER CARD

and Color Throwdown who have these spring colours for us

Here is my card

A One Layer card always throws me for a while, but once I decide on the stamp set I want to use, the rest just seems to follow. I started by stamping the central flower, and then covering it with a Post It note, and stamping the next flowers to the side so they looked like they were behind it. I added some stamped leaves and sponged a background through a Nestie aperture in some scrap paper that I cut in the Big Shot, and finished with a sentiment.

The words are from Verve Stamps and were my Prize from the Mojo Monday
challenge. They have a sale on at the moment, so feel free to click on the link for a browse through the online shop.

Supplies :
Card = White base FMS
Stamps = Greenhouse Garden, French Foliage and Verve
Inks = Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence, Always Artichoke, and Crushed Curry
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilitie, Stamp-a-ma-jig, and Post It's

Yesterday, I had a busy day playing Dinosaurs, so I've had this morning to myself to make a card. Now I've done this, I'm off to play with Nathan and Sophie again.

Thanks for dropping by

Fallen Leaves

Hi All, This is my second post for today as I may not have time to post tomorrow.

My card is for two challenges,

Firstly, Friday Mash Up who are celebrating their 100th challenge by allowing us to chose any from their last 100 challenges, and I chose #83.

and secondly, Color Throwdown with these colours

This is my card

I started by making five labels with the BS, and stamping them with text and splodges. These were then stuck onto Coral card with sponged edges. I used Write Markers to colour the leaf stamps with two colours and stamp onto white card, then cut them out, and placed them on the labels.

For the central label, I added three different leaves and added it on 3D pads. The sentiment was also stuck on 3D pads.

This is a closer view of the text and splodges under the leaves.

Supplies :
Card = Calypso Coral, and White card FMS
Stamps = French Foliage, and Verve
Inks = Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, and So Saffron (instead of Barely Banana)
Tools = Big Shot, Nestabilities, and Stamp-a-ma-jig
Extras = 3D pads

Thanks for looking at my card, and I would love to know what you think of it if you care to leave a comment.

Enjoy the weekend

Love Letter

Today's card is for Make My Monday Challenge . Their theme is ROMANCE and this week it's also SCRIPT OR VERSE

 This is my card

I've torn all the cards and sponged the edges to age them, and the letter I've rolled up each end to make it look like a scroll. The Fimo wax seal has had the Postmark stamp pressed into it and then stuck down to hold the ribbon in place. I made the rose buds by cutting a circle of card into a spiral and then rolling it up, and added a pearl in the centres.

Recipe :
Card = Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, and cream card from my stash
Stamps = French Foliage and Baroque Motifs
Inks = Sahara Sand and TH Tea Dye
Tools = 2 Step Bird Punch
Extras = Fimo, Ribbon, and White Pearls

Thanks for looking today and I hope you'll come back soon

OLC Leafy Thank You

This afternoon I had my RA treatment injection, so now I am resting on the sofa with a throbbing leg!!

Of course I couldn't sit doing nothing, so I've made 2 cards for the Less is More challenge where they want a OLC with Leaves as the theme, and the Simply Stampin challenge where they want something Leafy.

This is the first

I masked a strip off with tape and randomly stamped some leaves with Versamark and heat embossed them with clear powder. I then sponged and stamped over them with green inks and drew a wavy line across the top and bottom of the border. I stamped the sentiment, and then heat embossed a Versamarked stamped Fern leaf that lay over the coloured area.

and this is the second

I drew the wavy border again but this time incorporated the sentiment in the bottom line. Between these I stamped 4 suede leaves that had gold embossed highlights, and 1 brown leaf with no added extras.

Recipe :  Card = square white cards from my stash
Stamps = French Foliage, Organic Grace, and Just Believe
Inks = Certainly Celery, Pear Pizzazz, Always Artichoke, Soft Suede, Adirondack Rust, and Versamark
Tools = Heat gun
Extras = Gold and clear embossing powders

After making these I realise that I dont feel too good so may have to have a lie down. Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow, so I'll say TTFN
