Circus Mouse

Hello All, I can't believe that it's Friday already! What happens to the time?, as each day seems to pass quicker than the day before it!

Oh well, today, I've made this playful card

I embossed some strips of green and blue cards, rounded the ends, and laid them side by side like the frill on a Big Top tent, over the top of some white glitter card. I stamped and coloured the mouse with my AP and markers, fussy cut him out, and placed him on 3D pads on the glitter card. The two hats he is juggling with were also placed on 3D pads so they look like they are in the air. The finishing touch was a strip of glitter card and the sentiment label.

The sketch comes from

the colours from

Stampin' Royalty want to see GLITTER

and lastly, Make My Monday, have the theme of CIRCUS

Supplies :
Card - Pear Pizzazz, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Orange, Glitter, and base FMS
Stamps - House Mouse and Verve
Inks - Black Archival, Smoky Slate, Bermuda Bay, Pear Pizzazz, and Dusty Durango
Tools - Big Shot, Fancy Fan EF, Nestabilities, and Xcut Corner Rounder
Extras - 3D Pads

Still no sign of the donkey foal, and fingers crossed ( if I could ) it wont happen till late tomorrow, when my sister is home from their holiday!

Thankfully, the heatwave we were having seems to have ended, only to be replaced with thunder storms, rain, and cold winds!. I seem to be the only one who is happy about it, as the drop in air pressure helps my RA.

Anyway, have a great weekend whatever you have planned, and I'll be back soon

Apple for Teacher!

This is my second post tonight, just in case I get the call to go to my sisters field at any minute ( her donkey is due to go in to labour any minute)

First, I must say a big "Thank You" to Broni at Color Throwdown who said that she thought one of the outstanding cards in their challenge this week was my Peacock card, with "Gorgeously colored peacock and great embossed background panels!"

Now, here's my CAS card

First, I stamped the wood texture on white card, and placed it at the lower half of the base card, with a wobbly line around the top half. Next, I stamped the mouse on white card, coloured him with my AP and SU markers, and cut it with a Framelit in the Big Shot. This was then added on top of the wood panel with a sentiment printed on my laptop. The finishing touch was the gem dewdrop on the apple.

I am entering these challenges :

Mousey Celebrations

Yaaay! I forgot to say yesterday, that my Fairy card got Birthday Honours at Seize the Birthday, and my Peacock Spotlight card was one of the Goddess Picks at Stampin' Royalty, so "Thank You" to their lovely DT's.

I haven't used the House Mouse stamps much that I had for my birthday,  so I used them today to make this quick card

I stamped the mice in black and coloured them with my AP and markers, before cutting them with a framelit die. This was then placed on 3D pads on to some embossed blue and brown cards. The sentiment banners were made by piecing several stamps together and were also on 3D pads, and the finishing touches were the gems added to the hats and base card.

I am entering these challenges :

I embossed the blue and pink cards and laid them on the brown base matt. I then stamped the bears and coloured them with my favourite ever tool ( aqua painter) and markers, and cut them with a Framelit in the BS. A ribbon was wrapped around the pink card before the bears were laid down on it on 3D pads, and it was all finished off with a bow and some gems.

I am entering it in to these challenges :

The sketch is from Try Stampin' on Tuesday who also want

Today, while watching Wimbledon, I made this card using some mousey stamps I had for one of my birthday presents
