General Conference this past weekend was beyond amazing. I had so many direct answers to my prayers and the entire weekend I couldn't stop thinking about how much our Father in Heaven loves us.
Bryan has been living in Utah for a few years now, but had never been to a session of conference. Going to conference has been on our bucket list of things to do before we move. My parents were awesome and got my whole family tickets. There is something so powerful about going to listen to God's prophet on Earth today with your family. Something about it just feels so right.
I just love Sister Siegle. It was so fun to watch her and Bryan speak Portuguese to each other. |
I married into a wonderful family. |
To get to the Conference Center, we walked through Temple Square and within 5 seconds, our favorite missionary came running up to us.
We got to see Sisters Briggs and Siegle again. What an incredible blessing. I love their smiles and testimonies. As we were standing there, at the foot of the temple, as family, sun shining-- I just had a powerful witness that families and the gospel are meant for each other and spending eternity together is really what is going to bring us happiness beyond anything we have ever experienced.
Guys. I love these people. How did I get so lucky? |
Sunday night, I started to feel sick and by Monday morning-- I was down for the count.
{I don't know what the deal is, but I always get a cold in the spring and the fall...}
Luckily for me, I have wonderful friends, family and colleagues who take care of me.
I was supposed to give 3 presentations on Tuesday and 2 of them were moved.
Tender mercies.
Even though Bryan is pretty busy from 7-6 every day, he somehow found time yesterday to come home early to take care of me. I married a sweetheart. I love him.
We are going up to Park City this weekend with some family and I am so excited to spend time in the fall-adorned mountains!
Basically, I am just feeling grateful for so many things.
