and hello to California!
We are so incredibly excited to be here-- seriously, so thrilled.
We love this area: the wards, the culture, the weather, the food... everything.
(We don't even really have traffic!)
Several of you have asked questions about our move, so I figured I would answer the most frequent ones here:
Q. Where even are you?
A. We are living in Mountain View, which is about 30 minutes south of San Francisco. It's the heart of Silicon Valley (in fact, we live about 4 blocks away from Google...)
Q. Why are you there?
A. Bryan and I both got jobs in the Bay Area, so we moved for work. Bryan is {working} for Wells Fargo and I am still working for a solar energy company. Bryan's office is in Palo Alto, we live about 10-15 minutes away from his building. I travel frequently for work, and I spend a lot of time visiting different offices, but I also get to work from home, which is so wonderful!
Q. How long are you going to be there?
A. As long as we can! We are planning to be here for at least three years (things always change...), but we just love the area and our jobs so much, it could be forever.
My parents were SO WONDERFUL and helped us move out here and once I have everything put away and set up, I will show pictures of our apartment (which we LOVE).
I am going to try to update this blog more often so friend and family know what we are up to. :)
Next up, driving to Oregon next weekend to pick up Anne! We have sure missed her!
