Imagine That Digi of the Month

Hi all.  Today I am posting my card that I made for the DOTM.  It is called Maggie's Apples and Maggie is a sweet cow!  Last month's players received this brand new set, to play in this month's challenge.  If you missed that challenge, you can get this set FREE with your $10 order in the shop.  Or, you can buy it at a reduced price all of this month so you can come and play!  Everyone who plays by September 28th will receive a free set to play in next month's challenge.  I colored my "Maggie" with alcohol markers and cut with out with a Spellbinders die.  I used some of the Imagine That digi paper and added a bow.

Don't forget to check out the DOTM challenge page and see how easy it is to win a new set to use for next month's challenge.  We have also just started a new program called Cherry on Top.  Someone will win a new set, if their challenge card is chosen by our design team.  You must play to win!  Keep watching the blog after the first of next month to see if you are the winner.

I will be posting some other new cards that I have made, soon.

Till next time...

August Already...?

Hi all.  I can't believe it is already August.  I was in the hospital on July 1, for 5 days.  Since I have been out, I have been a crazy card making machine.  I will not post them all on here, but I will just add a few.  The most important one is the Imagine That Digi Stamps DOTM challenge card.   The theme this month is Beach Girls.  Girls just want to have fun and that is just what I did!  I used the water DP from the Beach Combers Digi Papers and used torn paper that I distressed and used a sand stamp to make the beach.  All of the elements were colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut and either glued or pop dotted onto the base.  The surfboard and umbrella pole were inserted into slits in the paper.

If you would like to play along with us and our Digi of the Month challenge, be sure to check out the site above for information and a chance to win a free set.

Here are a few more that I have been working on during the past few weeks...

Remember to play our progressive challenge.  Submissions must be in by the 28th of August in order to be eligible for a free set.

Football Humphrey

Today I am showing the card that I made for the Imagine That Digi stamps progressive challenge.  Today's card is called Football Humphrey.  I made all of the Humphrey images so I figured I would do this one also.  The file can be found here.  I colored Humphrey with gel pens and alcohol markers. He was fussy cut and pop dotted on to the background that I found online.  It was mounted on navy blue card stock and then mounted onto the card.  I did the hand sticking around the blue card stock.  hope you enjoy the card.  It is great for the football lover.

Remember that you can play along with our S.T.O.M. also known as the progressive digi challenge.  The details can be found here...

I'm Back!

Hi all.  Sorry that I have been MIA for a few weeks.  I was out of the country on a cruise (to renew our vows for our 15th anniversary).  Then I had to head down to Moffitt Cancer Center for some tests and my treatment.  The Dr. said that everything was pretty good and in my case, that is good!  Anyway, I am back with December's challenge card for Imagine That Digi Stamps Progressive Challenge.  The set used for this card is called Joy.  I colored it with alcohol markers, used die cuts, a punch, designer paper and ribbon to finish it.

Be sure to play along by the end of the month and next month, you will get the January freebie to use.  If you have played in the past, you should already know how this works.  Be sure to check out the cards that the other Design Team members have made.

Imagine That November Progressive Challenge

Today, I am focusing on the Imagine That Progressive Digi challenge for November.  I have been extremely busy and I haven't had a chance to post until now.  This month we are using an image from the set called Jars of Cheer.  I chose the one with the peppermints because I am working on my Christmas cards and I thought this was a perfect one to use.  I printed the image and used different brands of alcohol markers to color and then cut it out.  I mounted it on a piece of minty green card stock that I embossed and mounted that on some designer card stock.  After I photographed this card, I decided to do a little more (to make it pop).  I used Ranger Glossy Accents to add dimension to the candy in the jar and on the holly berries.  Each piece of candy and berry had to be glossed individually so they looked like separate pieces of candy and berries.  Trust me, they do!  Unfortunately, I had already submitted it to Imagine That so I wasn't able to send in a new photo.

Check out the above site and see what the other design team members have done.  They are great!
If you did not play last month, for your free digi, check out the store.  Once you have purchased your first challenge image, you will be able to get another free one, each month, as long a you play along!

Nuts About You!

I just love these Humphrey images from Imagine That Digis.  This one is Humphrey holding an acorn.  I dry embossed the background with a leaves embossing folder.  I cut out the image with a Nestabilities Die and Then cut a frame with the same shape, only larger.  I added 4 brads and that was that.  Hope you enjoy it...

It's not too late to play the Progressive Challenge over at Imagine That Digis.  The theme this month is Breast Cancer Awareness.  The digi that we are using is adorable!  Check it out!

Several New Cards

Hi all.  I want to thank those of you who participated in the Imagine That Digi Stamps, Name that Card Artist contest.  We actually had one person guess all of them right!  I couldn't do that, myself.  Here is my card that was used for the contest.  It is from the Imagine That BCA Full Support set.  I colored the image with Copic and Spectrum Noir markers.  The background was stamped with my breast cancer awareness rose and ribbon stamp.

The following cards were made this past week and I just decided to show them all in this post.

I hope you enjoy these cards.  Don't forget to play the Imagine That Progressive Digi Challenge.

Until next time...

Progressive Digi Challenge for October

Hi all.  Today I am posting my card for the Imagine That Digi Stamp Progressive Challenge.
Since this is breast cancer awareness month, we are doing a BCA image for the challenge.
The set is called "Let's Squash Out Cancer".  It is a very appropriate name as you shall see, below.  My card was created with Copic and Sharpie markers and cut out with a Nestabilities die.
The background was embossed.  I tangled the area that says cancer, under the elephant.
The envelope was stamped with a rose in a ribbon that says "Stamp Out Breast Cancer"

.

This week, we are playing a game.  It is called Name That Card Artist.

Check out the link, above for your chance to play!

Humphrey's Apples

Hi all.  For the September challenge at Imagine That Digis, we are doing something different.  Instead of using a particular stamp for the Progressive Challenge, we are letting you choose any image from Imagine That Digis.  It can be from the past or from one of the new sets in the store.   As usual, everyone who plays, will get next month's image for free.  Sounds good doesn't it?

There are some wonderful new digis that have just recently been released.  Be sure to check them out.

I used the new Humphrey's Apples digi for my project.  I love the new Humphrey's sets and I had a hard time deciding which one to do!

The image was colored with Copic & Sharpie markers and then mounted on a piece of designer paper.  I wrapped 2 corners with baker's twine and added 2 brads in the other corners.  I also added some fake stitches around the image with a white gel pen.  The card base was embossed and I
swiped a Ranger's Distress ink over it to make the details show up.

I hope you will play along with us this month.

Till next time...

Imagine That Digis, August Progressive Challenge

Hi all.  Today, I am showcasing my Imagine That Progressive Challenge card.  This month's challenge image is called Dolphins.  I have been a bit under the weather, so I didn't really get to play with it that much.  I used layers of colored pencils and gamsol to color the image.  I added some Sakura Clear Star pen and white gel pen to give some sparkle and highlights.  The background was sprayed with silver Glimmer Mist and embossed with my Cuttlebug.  The background was lightly sponged with Brilliance ink and I used some of my very large stash of fibers to enhance the card.

For those of you who don't already know, Imagine That Digis Stamps has a progressive challenge where you get a free digi stamp each month, as long as you keep playing.  It's a lot of fun.  Check out what some of my Design Teammates have done this month, here.

Imagine That Digi Stamps, July Challenge and 3 Other Cards

Hi everyone.  I have been pretty busy, making cards this past week. The first one is for our July Progressive Challenge.  I decided to do something different with my coloring.  Usually, I use Copic & Spectrum Noir markers.  This time I used colored pencils and Gamsol (it helps to move the color around and give the pencil marks a smoother look.  Unfortunately, With all of my pencils, I couldn't find a true red.  They are a little orangeish (I made up that word).  However, I like the way it turned out, anyway.

My next 2 cards were a special order.  She wanted butterflies with the sentiment inside to say:  If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.  Here are 2 of them...

I used designer card stock for the focal image and cut out a few butterflies and colored with Copic and Spectrum Noir markers.  I added some bling to each.  She just loved them all!

The last card for this post is one that I made for a friend who is going to be having surgery, due to her second bout with breast cancer.  The inside of the card says:  Don't be afraid of tomorrow, God is already there!  I plan on giving it to her tomorrow.  The image is from McMahon Five (BCA)

Don't forget, if you played along on our last challenge (June), you will be eligible for your free Meowy Mousmas digi stamp.  If you didn't play last month, the set can be downloaded from the store.  It also happens to be on sale, too!

Imagine That Digi Stamps Progressive Challenge

Hi all.  I am back to work with the Imagine That Digi Stamp Progressive Challenge.  The name of the  set is called Poolside Penguins.  It is so adorable.  I'm glad that I didn't miss this one, while I was on hiatus.  I colored the image with Copic markers and paper pieced the swim trunks with washi tape.  That was a first for me!  I did some embossing for the water and cloud background.  The water background was actually cut up from a folder that had fish in it.  I didn't like the look, so...I cut them out and pieced it back together, without the fish...

Now it's your turn to use this free image, if you played in May.  If you didn't, you can purchase the entire set for $3.00 in the store.  Then, if you use anyone of the images in this month's challenge, you will be eligible to receive the challenge digi for next month, for free!

Don't forget to leave me a comment.  I need some lov'in right now!  I have had a difficult couple of months!  Also, be sure to check out what some of the other design team members are doing.

Progressive Challenge

Hi all!  It's time for a new monthly progressive challenge at Imagine That Digis Progressive Challenge.  Remember that if you played along last month, you get the image for FREE!  My card for the design team was printed and colored with Copic markers.  I had to fussy cut around the image so I could pop dot it on to my die cut background.  I made 2 different sized layers, one in white and a smaller one in red.  I embossed with my Cuttlebug folder, Swiss Dots.  I then brayered black over the top to make it look like ladybug dots.  I made a matching double bow for the top and around the bigger layer of card stock. I love how I just happened to have this great ribbon in my stash!

Don't forget to go to Imagine That Digis by Kris and pick up this adorable image.  If you didn't get to play last month, you can get the file on sale for only $2.00.  Then, next month you can get the freebie!

Stamp of the Month Progressive Challenge

Hi all.  I can't believe it is already March 1st.  Where has February gone?  I have started to get busy with my card making.  Today, I am doing the card for the Imagine That Progressive Challenge.  The name of the digi stamp of the month is called Kitty in Flowers.  I decided to do something different, so I used colored pencils and gamsol to color the image.  I used die cuts and designer paper to add more color to the card.  I am pleased with the way it turned out.

This file can be yours for free if you participated in last month's challenge.  If you didn't, you can purchase this image at a discount for the entire month and get the free one next month.  It is called a progressive challenge because each month, if you participate in the challenge, you will get the next month's image for free.  This will continue as long as you participate in the challenge!  It is lots of fun and of course our Design Team will always be there to help out with our samples to inspire you.  Be sure to link your image at the challenge site by March 31!

Looking forward to seeing your entry in the challenge this month!

February Challenge

Hi All.  I have been away for a while so I need to play catch-up!  Today's card is for the Imagine That Digis Progressive Freebie Challenge for February.  The name of the file is called Polar Love.  As usual, you can buy it at a discount if you didn't participate in last month's challenge.  Remember, once you enter into the challenge, your next challenge set will be free!  Since the colored image from the set had a white bear, I decided to make mine a little different and colored him brown.  I made this into an easel fold card and added a lot of elements.  Sometimes, I feel that I need to step out of the box and do something a little different.  This was the time!  I just love the colors pink and red, together so that was what I did.  I really like the doily effect on top.  This card folds down into an A-2 card and fits nice and flat for mailing (even with the hearts popped up a little).  The
sentiment is from a set of clear stamps that are all religious in nature.  The inside sentiment says Sending lotsa love, which is from the Polar Love file.

There are some great things happening over at Imagine That Digis.  Please check them out!  Also, don't forget to leave me a message here on my blog.  Your comments mean a lot to me!

Thanks.

Snow Globe Angel

Hi all.  Today, I am showcasing Imagine That Digis Progressive Challenge.  The set is called Jenn & Friends.  I decided to make an easel card with this cute image.  I used a large snowflake brad to hold it up.  I used purples and pinks so it wouldn't look too Christmasy.  I wanted to use it for a winter birthday card.  I really like the way it came out and the colors really pop.

 My easel card set up.

This is the file from Imagine That Digis Progressive Challenge.

I hope you like my card.  Please check out all of the other design team member's cards.  Then grab the digi and play along.  When you join the challenge, your next challenge digi is always free!
Please leave a message on my blog.  I always like to know what you think!  Thanks.  :-)

It's gingerbread time at Imagine That Digi Stamp Progressive Challenge.  I decided to do 2 cards because I wanted to use the gingerbread people, but I also wanted to use the gingerbread house.  It is designed so beautifully!  I couldn't resist... I used a lot of different elements to make these cards.  What fun!  If you visit the site above, you can do the progressive challenge too.  If you are new to this challenge, you will have to pay a small fee for the file, but you will get next month's challenge digi for free!  If you do the challenge each month, you will continue to get a free digi each month.
