Cup Shaped Card

Hey everyone!! It feels great to blog after a short break. My lo leaves no time on hand for crafting and hence no posts here. Just managed to create one card for my DH on his birthday. Hence the use of the letter R, the first letter of his name.

I got this cup shape from the net and made my template for the card. I created a pocket in it to place a tag for writing the message. Then I filled it up with beautiful chipboard flower embellishments.

This is how it looks when the tags are taken out. Hope you like it.

Hope you like my creation...

Tea pot shaped card

Hi. I love making shaped cards and special fold cards when I get bored with the regular ones. This time I tried a totally new shape. The tea pot shaped card! I got the shape from internet and then traced and hand-cut it on card stock. The green embossed paper used on top of CS is readymade. The sentiment and tatty teddy is from Paper Mania paper pack. I punched flowers in silver glitter paper and backed it with pink paper to match the CS.

Flower Pot Shaped Card

Hi. A quick post today to share my flower pot shaped card.
The base i.e. the flower pot CS is a handmade paper which had a pretty texture and made my work easy.

All the flowers and leaves are stamped and fussy cut. The flower stamp is from Inkadinkado. The small leaves stamp is from Itsy Bitsy and the big leaves stamp is a foam stamp which I had bought long back from Hobby Ideas.

Heart-shaped Triple Easel Card

Hey there.... today I am sharing a very special card that I made for my husband. It's a heart-shaped triple easel card. I used red CS for this and the paper pack is from DCWV.

The flowers are handmade. I had earlier posted a tutorial on my blog for these flowers.

Apron Shaped Card

Hi everyone!! I am back to my blog after a lonnnnnnnnnnnng break. First I went to Pune to meet my parents and then to Dubai for a much deserved annual vacation. Also work has been keeping me busy so I have not been able to craft regularly. I have been seeing lovely posts from my fellow crafters and admiring them. Hopefully I get on track soon :)

Here is a card that I made for my mom's birthday. I thought of making something simple yet meaningful. Since she is the best cook I know, I thought of making an apron shaped card for her.

This is my first try at an apron shaped card. I did have to experiment a bit :)
The card base is kraft colored card stock. I used the little border stamp from MME's 'Follow Your Heart Be Amazing Clear Acrylic Stamp' which I had pruchased from Crafters Corner, to outline the apron. The buttons were white in color and I did not have matching red buttons, so I colored them using my nail polish.

For the inside of the card, I printed this doll from the internet and colored it using distress inks.

A close-up of the coloring that I attempted :)

Thanks for stopping by. Wishing you all a Happy New Year. I know I am late, but nevertheless!

Jar Shaped Card - Red Flowers

Hi. This is my second post for the day. And this is my 2nd Jar Shaped Card posted in this week. I wanted to clarify as many people commented on my previous jar card that this is not a tag. It is a quite a tall, shaped card :) And yes the bg is a digi, I have not stamped it. I have used these pretty flowers from Itsy Bitsy that I won as a prize for my Shabby Chic Cart.
Here are both my jar cards posted in this week. You can see my all Jar Shaped Cards here.

Hi. This is the second jar shaped card I have made till now. I love this shape and its pretty easy to embellish it as well. You can view my first jar shaped card here which I had made for my mom's birthday last year.
Nothing much really to say about the card, except that the flowers are all handmade.

Best Mom

You must have seen the sneak peek of my card that I made for Lulupu today. So here's the full story behind the Mother's Day Card that I made for this month's challenge at Lulupu #11 - My Mum, My World.

I had so much fun using these pretty pattern papers and layering them. I felt I could just go on and on with the layering. After a long time I used so many supplies in one card.

To start with, I chose a  flower shaped card base in yellow. To cover the base I have used this pretty paper from Zephyr A4 paper pad. Then I used a circular card board that comes inside a Muesli bottle lid, to give some height to the center part. I covered it with pattern paper from My Minds Eye - Blink of an eye collection. I topped this with the gorgeous die cut from Bo Bunny. The die cut is secured using pink colored Doodlebug brads crushed velvet. I created the MOM tags by hand cutting left over papers from My Minds Eye paper pack. I have used stickers from my stash for the letters. The yellow flower is made using daisy punch. I have also used the gorgeous cream fabric tape and decorated it with pearls.

Groovy Chic Easel Card

Hi Friends!! I have been MIA for some time now from blogland..... and yeah I did miss it a lot. Dunno but I was just not feeling like blogging at all. So it was sort of a self-imposed break from blogging and crafting. I missed many of your posts too. But on and off I managed to see some of your wonderful stuff.... like Snehal's beautiful albums, Hussena and Priya's shabby chic cards.

I have not really crafted since more than a month now, so the card I am posting today is not recently made. I have used digis from digimyworld.com that I won for a craft challenge. I tried coloring the girl using Faber Castell Watercolor pencils.
 The opened up Easel card...
Have a great day!

Shaped Shabby Chic Card

Hi. This is the card for which I had shared a preview yesterday. I made this card for inspiration as Guest DT for Lulupu Challenge Blog. I was asked to make a Shaped Shabby Chic Card.
I have tried a jar shaped card for the first time!

I made this card for my mom’s birthday and so I designed it keeping her in mind. I wanted to make it fun and bright and chose bright red color for the card base and for the roses too.
I wanted the red roses to be the center point of the card. The butterfly and flower lace die cuts are a RAK from Juhi and they were perfect for this card.
The twine used on the card is from an old price tag. I added small cherries at two places: one on the twine and other is a 3D sticker just next to the butterfly. The 'MOM' letters are self-sticking plastic stickers.

Baby Boy Rocker Card

Hey peeps! I made a rocker card for the first time. I think its perfect for a baby card as it rocks like a baby's cradle. I made a baby boy themed card for a dear friend who was blesse with a baby boy this week.
The pattern paper is from Paper Mania. And the image is also from Paper Mania "Me to You" pack. The flowers are handmade using 5 petal punch. The sentiment is a free digi stamp from Tracey's blog.
I have used assorted stickers to decorate the inside of the card.. The small footprints punch is from Itsy Bitsy.
Do lemme know how you like this card. I also made a similar baby girl card. Will share it soon.

Valentine Card with Non Traditional colors

Hi All! Hope you all are having a fun weekend. I made an easel card today based on some of the challenges I wanted to enter. My starting point was Mojo Monday Sketch #226.
I chose the round card and made a circular easel card for the first time. I have been wanting to make one ever since I saw this card made by my dear friend Priya Sondhi.
Though my card is a love card, the colors used are non traditional. I used two of my most favorite colors - Yellow and Purple. The big bloom and leaves are handmade without using and punches or diecuts. [See similar but bigger bloom on my other card here].
The lovely cream colored roses are a gift from my friend which she got during her visit to UK. The purple mulberry roses are purchased from Ujjwal's store. The sentiment is from Itsy Bitsy. The silver swirls are from Pie Lane. The buttons are from my stash.
A peek into the inside of the card...

Hope you all like my card. Awaiting your encouraging comments!!

Bottle shaped card

Hey there! Today I want to share a card that I made for my dad's ex-boss on his retirement.
My mom and dad wanted me to make a card in a different shape so I came up with a bottle shaped card.
Here it is...
As you can see I also made a matching envelope with the card.
My dad had sent me the wordings for the card, so I stuck the greetings on the right inner side and made a tag for the left side.
The tag can also be used as a bookmark later.
A close-up of the front side...If you see carefully, the flourishes are actually the negative part of the punched border used for the envelope, which we normally discard. Also the little stars added on the greeting inside is from the punched border.
