Black and White Anniversary Card

Hi folks. Here is a quick post to share a card I made particularly for Sindhu's challenge.
Its a Black and White Anniversary Card. The sentiment is a digi. The couple silhouette is from internet. I traced it and handcut it. The black and white border is from Itsy Bitsy. I have added some lace below the border to add a touch of elegance.

Black and White Card with Yellow Flowers

I love trying new color combinations. And I was bored with the usual reds, pinks, etc. so I started out with a black card base. That set the ball rolling.... Then I used Black and White PPs to create the bg. I wanted to have a sentiment as the focus for my card. This sentiment is from the stamp set TPC Playful expressions.

I made the flowers using this rose flower template from the net. I traced and cut out these flowers on white handmade paper. Then I colored them using Wild Honey Distress Inks. The light and dark grey leaves are cut out from an ad pamphlet. I colored the seam binding ribbon with the same ink to match the flowers.

Here's a look at my card....

I love the contrast of B/W with yellow and also the way these cute flowers look!!

Card Patterns #160

Hey all. This is the second card that I had mentioned in my previous post for which I missed the timeline. I have made it based on last week's Card Patterns sketch #160. I really liked the way it came out as it is so not my style but I managed it as all the things just fell into place and merged so well.
The grey CS is a local buy. The off-white lacey oval and black oval die cuts are from Jovita's store. The dove and flowers stickers as well as the sentiment is from Itsy Bitsy.

And guess where is the arrow banner from? Its the backing of Itsy Bitsy sticker :) Yes I use anything and everything around me !! This particluar sticker set is called Motifs Silhoutte.
I had also used one of these stickers in my black and white card here.

Black and white circular easel card

Hi All. Today I have another black and white, circular easel card to share, but with a dash of blue. I made this card keeping in mind the challenge at Beyond Grey Challenge blog. I guess I just made it in time as today is the last day of submission.
The PP is from Kavitha's store. I really like the way the dotted PP gels with the striped one. The white lace adds a magical touch to the card. The glitter pot sticker and the birdy are from Itsy Bitsy. And so are the flowers used on the inner panel. The sentiment is a digi.
This is how the card looks when opened. I have hand cut the white part to write the message on. I added flowers from Itsy Bitsy as embelishment.
And yes, did you all notice my new watermark? I have been wanting to change my watermark since a long time, and finally came up with this. I really wanted something that resembles my style and the things I love. I am crazy for flowers, so I added the flowers, on two sides :) and yeah swirls too!!
I really want to hear from you all, how you liked it.

DIY Bloom

Hi guys, this is my second post for the day. I made this card few days back. I love flowers and experiment with different types of handmade flowers. I randomly drew a petal for this flower in three different sizes, embossed them and assembled the flower. The center of the bloom is a fringed flower. The leaves are also handcut and inked on the edges. The PPs are from Kavitha's store. I embellished the card with lace and rhinestones for an added effect. See more pics below for a close-up of the bloom and the rhinestone swirl.
 The bloom...
I stuck the rhinestones in a swirl pattern...
Hope you like my card. Thanks for visiting!!

Ribbon roses for Silver Anniversary

Hey there! Its been raining non-stop in Mumbai since last night, and I've had a rather lazy Saturday. Over the week I had been thinking about 3 challenges and due to lack of time (or my laziness) ;) , I decided to club all the three together, and make one card to fit all three :) The card got ready very quickly, but as I started deocorating it, I kept adding one element after another, now that I have loads of embellies I bought from Hobby Ideas and Pie Lane.

I have catered to ICR9 challenge, Erum's challenge to create ribbon flowers for Yyam's blog 'Do More with Less' and Mojo Monday 205 Sketch Challenge.

The ICR9 theme is Celebrations + NO Digi/Rubber Stamping except for Sentiments. Here is their challenge pad. Click on it to know more about the challenge.

Mojo Monday 205 Sketch

Erum's challenge is to create ribbon flowers and she is offering these gorgeous ribbons as the prize! Do visit her blog to check out her gorgeous creations.

Here is my card. Please click on the pics to enlarge.
I have made the roses as shown by Erum in the challenge post on Yyam's blog.

Few close-ups
The butterfly and glitter balls are from Pie Lane. I have used the glitter balls to adorn the flowers on the PP. Again inspired by Erum here :) She makes fabulous use of glitter balls and amazes us with her creations every time!!!

Hope u all like my card! Do leave a note to let me know.
Have a nice Sunday!
