Safety First - At Preschool

This preschool lesson was SO helpful the other day..... We arrived at Target and began unloading as usual. Jackson sits on the passenger side so once I tell him to get out, he begins to take off his seatbelt and get out of the car. I got the babies, walked around to the other side of the car, JUST IN TIME TO SEE JACKSON PULLING UP HIS PANTS! Yes, the boy exited the car, drops his pants, and peed in the bushes next to the "shopping cart storage" thingy. And yes, an employee just so happened to be gathering the carts. So we had a discussion about how the police officers would not like that because you're breaking the rules - needless to say, he does not want the policeman to take him and since then, we have had fewer public pees!

WES - Two Years

In honor of Wes, last Saturday we all came together for Bellamy Chicken, Rattler's Rolls, Key Lime Pie, Mousse Pie, the weird tuck in your lips and say a fruit game, wrestling, and walks down memory lane. Wes - oh how we love you and miss you so!

NEW MOON!

I HATE movies based off books - HATE THEM. They are never even close to the book and to me, it's as if the movie ruins the image created by the author. But NEW MOON did not disappoint. It was a girls night and I am never one to turn down a girls night - so I went. I WAS HAPPY I DID! Although, for Eclipse, I will NOT be going with a bunch of high pitched teenagers. And and yes, my sweatshirt may say I have moved on from McDreamy and onto McSparkly, but really, I could never ditch Derek. Ok back on topic....

What does Alvin have to do with New Moon..... nothing, but we're always up for a photo op. Note to self: don't ask teenage boys to take your picture!

Or teenage girls for that matter - YES we are standing in front if this poster because WE WANT IT IN THE BACKGROUND!

LA ZOO

When Marci brought up the idea to do something different, the zoo sounded like the best idea. She invited me and Tina and so we all headed out Friday morning. It was an easy drive and that helped to make a good morning. It wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be and that too added to the good morning. But best of all, the kids were stoked!
But there was a moment that wasn't so good - Jackson was totally bummed when he asked if his friend Andrew was coming and I told him no. Giselle and her boys were the last ones to join us for the zoo and so naturally Jackson assumed they'd be there too - we wish!
But, Jackson soon realized he would have fun and the gorilla would still be there to join him!

The gorgeous mommies tending to the children.

Marci did a great job helping all the kids get a better look.

Here we go.... an attempt at a group shot!

Again - why do I try?? Maybe in a few years I will get all eyes on the camera.... maybe....

Ryan stopped to read the sign - he is trying so hard these days and it's so awesome to see his progress!!

Thanks Marci & Tina, it made for a great day!
