As previously blogged, I have had major insurance issues throughout this entire pregnancy. Now, here I am insured through two different providers and neither is acceptable to me. The first, through Andrew's work, is way too expensive BUT it is contracted through my doctor and will allow me to deliver at my hospital of choice.
The second my doctor recommended to me when we still didn't have Andrew's work insurance. This one should have all worked out but of course, out of the two options they provide, they signed me up with the one my doctor DOES NOT take.
So here I sit at 33 weeks (AND YES ACCORDING TO MY ULTRASOUND TODAY, ANDI IS MEASURING RIGHT ON SCHEDULE AT 33 WEEKS) trying to find a doctor and a hospital. I am nervous because I have loved my experiences with Dr. Collier and with West Hills Hospital. I have heard horror stories that make me nervous to deliver at Henry Mayo or with just a random doctor. Ahhh I don't know what to do. Keep looking and cross my fingers OR stay with Andrew's insurance and pay too much out of pocket.
**And just to top it off, I am so sick of talking to robots - WHERE ARE THE REAL PEOPLE?
Happy 9th Birthday, Ava and Vance!

let me get this straight.... you are considering a home birth?!
Hahaha not really, but man it could be an option!! I am so stressed out about all this I got a cold sore for the first time in SO SO long!
I've delivered 3 babies at Henry Mayo. Yes, I knew my doctor's but no problems! Good luck- don't stress out,it's not good for you or baby!
Your dad and my husband were best of friends growing up. Robert spent a lot of time living at the Arrietta's!! Your dad gave Robert your blog address to look at pictures. It was nice to see everyone! I remember you when you were a wee little one!! I always contribute the man Robert is to the raising of him by Sam and Lucy! They instilled in him great character!!
Our son and wife are expecting a boy in March. This will be our first grandbaby!! We are very excited!!
Have your dad tell us when your baby is born!! Blessings, Miss Paula
Oh, yes. I have some very big aversions (is that how you spell it?) to medical insurance companies. I'm feeling your pain. THe "double date" pictures are too cute!
I hear you! I hope you can get some peace of mind before you deliver!
Maybe its a combination of your stress, increased hormones and 33 week pregnant belly that I know you want gone...but a home birth is not my idea of good options. It would be hard to pay so much money out of pocket for a doctor you know and like. Can you google the names of the doctors from the other insurance and find out a little bit about them. Maybe that would bring some piece of mind.
Option #4:I'll just deliver Andi while we are camping! Ok this is a worse option than a home birth.
Paige if you could give me an epidural, then maybe we could work something out :)
