Do you read any craft magazines? Do you keep them or maybe pass them on or throw them out after a while? Well I loooove my magazines and they are taking up a fair bit of space but every so often I find myself going through them again and again. And everytime I find new inspiration. Whether it's a project using stamps that I didn't have before but own now or maybe it's just something that didn't interest me before but suddenly it does. So I found myself looking through a Craft Stamper issue from a year ago and found a christmas hanging Kate Crane made using Stampotique and Tim Holtz stamps. I took that idea and created my own little christmas card collection. I used a different character and sentiment but I re-created the same background following her steps. I love them for their vibrant colours and crazy "Uncle Buck" character, he don't look like he loves christmas too much, hehe.
I am entering this into the "Backgrounds" Challenge at The Artistic Stamper.

I'm in Craft Stamper...... yeah.....
I simply had to share this, it is after all the first time I had any of my stuff in print and my name in the magazine.
It's the chipboard shape swap from a while ago (original post here), it was the first time I ever entered the swap in the magazine and I'm delighted they printed a pic of it.
I also had a reader submission accepted from them but didn't wanna say anything in case I jinx it, but it's gonna be goin in the mag soon so look out for it!!!
This months swap is a mini wallhanging, so I came up with this.
I used the idea from Tim's recent tags and made another canvas flower. And I covered my own button with a stamped heart, my sis got me that stamp, I really like it.

Decorated chipboard shapes - Craft Stamper Swap
So, once again I can't get the picture to upload the right way round. This is driving me nuts, anyone else have that problem? I've turned it every way and then uploaded it and then I added text so it may recognize it, but nooooo.
Ah well, you just have to turn your head sideways to get a proper look.
I wanted to enter the decorated chipboard shape swap in Craft Stamper so I used these 2 Maya Road shapes and inked them up in mauve, then added 3 layers of clear UTEE, sprinkled some blue micro beads onto the melted UTEE and stamped a Wendy Vecchi stamp into it. Then I rubbed scattered straw crackle paint into the writing.
I am sending the wings off for the competition and I am also entering them into the Simon says stamp and show challenge.
