My Family back in 1951 Layout for ***Graphic 45***!!!

Goodmorning lovely friends,

I am a huge fan of old photos so I went to my uncle & moms Facebook page to steal some.

This one is with my great grandmother in the middle on the left you see two of my granddad’s sisters and on the right my two great grandfathers.

I also really love soft toned Graphic 45 paper collections so that’s why I used an older one here “A Ladies Diary” you can surely remember that one right? The graphics are amazing and on this layout I used two molds a set of little hands to hold the title and a frame to hold the photo.

My Family back in 1951:

Making layouts is my thing as you can see, also I love to add layers so that’s what I did with this one. Stitching is my signature style as you see here I did that on both cream colored sheets. Then I used a script stamp and a stencil to my layout and later on I added some white spray. For this layout I did a lot of fussy cutting which is very relaxing but also very time consuming and of that last one I don’t have that much.

Metal embellishments are amazing to use and on this layout I have used two buckles, one in the left upper corner and one in the right lower corner. And wow even for me it’s odd that I didn’t use any chipboard pieces on this one.

I distressed all the edges of my layout, building this page was very easy and this one was made within five hours without counting the fussy cutting part. I colored the molds pieces with some sprays, acrylic paints matte & metallique and some waxes.

I also used the stickers sheet which is full of pretty phrases, words and letters. The letters I used for my title, and I also used the “Graphic 45 unique papercrafting” in my buckles I cut them off my papers.

That beautiful lady was lifted with foam tape so I could add that flower cluster in the end I added some bubbles and waxes on the flowers to soften them up a little.

I also did a lot of fussy cutting on this layout I find that very relaxing.

Embrace The Journey Mixed Media Panel ***Playing at Finnabair February 2022 Art Recipe***

 Hi lovely friends,

I saw my sweet friend Pascale Bernard use some amazing sized canvasses a while back and I really wanted them too. So I asked her what size they where and she told me they are 10 by 30 cm. I asked my husbands friend {who lives in France} if he could buy me some since we don't have them here in The Netherlands. This is a fun size to create with.

Embrace The Journey:

I painted my canvas with heavy black gesso, then I added the swirly florel stencil with some crackle paste when that was dry I put on a layer of black gesso again. Then I used three different mica powders rust, copper & vintage ivory and some water.

Then I made my mouds four different ones, the frame was also treated with heavy black gesso and the gears & star too. Then I added some matallic flakes on the frame and some waxes. The rest of the moulds are treated with white gesso and a bunch of different acrylic paints & waxes.

And for the finishing touch I added some memory hardware pearls, wishing bubbles, mechanicals and snow and at the end I used my new favorite wax white pearl to accent the edges of my panel as on the flowers and stencil work.

This is the amazing Art Recipe that's on the Finnabair blog!

"Shine Brightly" Hanna Mixed Media Panel playing at Finnabair's blog!

Hello dear friends,
How very nice of you to visit my blog, today I'd show you a mixed media panel. I made this project in honour of "Hanna Nicole Hale" my cousin her youngest daugther, who left this beautiful earth to be with god and the angels on July 23rd. I think to be creative in any way is very healing to the soul at least it is for me. It's totally out of my comfort zone to make something like this because most of you know my passion is with layout's & cards. But it was very theraputic and I really like how it tuned out.

Shine Brightly Hanna:
For this project I used a whole bunch of "Finnabair"products. First I added heavy white gesso on the background then I added a stencil to later on treat the background with a couple of Lindy's spray's & some Artisan Powder "Paris Rose"
I also used some fussy cut flowers from the Miles Apart collection by Maja Design all the words texts are from Tim Holtz. I would love it if Anna would make something like that one day ;-) Al the flowers are by Prima Marketing
If you look closely you see two greek numbers, two times eleven that was her age {22} and you see a four that is the age of her son. So you see this was made from the heart and I can tell you I shed a tear while making this.

Never Give Up, Life is Beautiful Card Playing at ***Finnabair July 2021 Art Recipe***!

Goodmorning my lovely friends,
Today I'd like to share a card with you all. I made this card for this months "Art Recipe" at the Finnabair blog. Which is very appealing to the eye at least that is what I think. The phrase I have used here speaks so much to me because on the 23rd of July we have lost a family member {My cousin's daughter at the age of 22} Hanna leaves behind a handsome 4 year old boy & husband. It sadness me the way she died, of a overdose that's why I used that phrase.

"Never Give Up"
"Live Is Beautiful"

For this card I used some gorgeous Maja Design papers from the "Denim and Girls" collection. The amazing chipboard pieces here ar by the wonderful "Renea Bouquets" I have treated those chippies with some Rust Paste, waxes & peach paint.

The big peach coloured flower is a older one by Prima Marketing and the rest of the flowers are by 49 and Market. I also used my favorite stencil on this card called "Dandelions" and I used some two different moulds.

Lets have a look at the pretty art recipe:
