Love to leave a little sparkle wherever you go canvas for **Mixed Media Place** Guest Designer August 2022 + Playing along with **Lindy's August Color Challenge**!!

 Hello dear creative friends,
I am very excited to show you my project, that I made for the quarterly challenge at the Mixed Media Place blog as their guest designer. For this accasion I made a mixed media panel size 30cm by 10cm.
On my panel I used a bunch of new Finnabair moulds which I first treated with black gesso like I did with my background. The background took a day to dry because I added some of the clear crackle texture paste on it and I wanted it to dry naturally since is was very hot the last week.

Love to leave a little sparkle wherever you go:

I tend to find it very hard to not use a color palette or a mood board since they always inspire me so much. So I used the Lindy's Stamp Gang color challenge as my inspiration to create this for my guest designer spot at Mixed Media Place

I added a text stencil with the modeling paste and when that was dry I added two layers of black heavy gesso. After that I took out my moulds and made the ones I used with resin (I prefer that over other modeling material)

Also before I did all of the above I pick out my flowers first which I treated with different sprays & mica powders. When the moulds were dry I used a couple of the waxes & some purple acrylic paint for the backside of the light bulbs. Then I put everything in place how I liked it and voila it's ready and the last thing I did was add some white splatters.

With this canvas I will be entering this months color challenge at the Lindy's Facebook Page
I really love the colors this month look at this pretty example:

I hope I have inspired you with my project. And see you play along at the Mixed Media Place blog and have fun!
Have a gorgeous & creative day,

 Hi there lovely friends,

It's a lovely day to visit my blog because I have another layout to share with you all. What I really love about 2Crafty Chipboard pieces are that they are so delicate and swirly which makes your layouts & other works so romantic and I am a sucker for romance and hearts.

Wonderful Memory of You:

2Crafty Chipboards used:
Mini Word Set 3
Memory of You
Beaded Hanging Heart Set

Squiggly Heart Cluster
Leafy Shrub Set 1

I just can't stop creating in purple colors since it is my favorite color lol, this layout was made with the pretty "Spring Purple" collection. All the chippies are painted with one layer of white gesso then I painted the "Memory of You" phrase with some purple acrylic paint then I added some transparant crackle paste and some wax when it was dry.

I painted the Leafy Shrub Set 1 with some green acrylic matte paint and then I added some wax and purple impasto paint. I also added some hearts from the "Steampunk Hearts" mould by Finnabair which I painted with black gesso en pruple wax. In the end I added some pearle on the leafy set to give it more demension. The flowers are all handmade and I did a lot of fussy cutting as well.

Thank you so much for your visit today. And I sure hope that I have inspired you to take out your lovely 2Crafty Chippies and create and have fun while doing so. Have a blessed & sunny week!

Charming Moment Canvas Playing at ***Finnabair*** & ***49 and Market***!!!

 Hello my lovely friends,

Today I am here with you to share a 10 by 10 inch canvas, that I created for my beautiful cousin Nicole! On the picture you see her first granddaughter the pretty Amelia Jane from her oldest daughter Nadene and her husband Jason. Don't you just love that little face.....for this canvas I have used the pretty 49 and Market sketch for the month September & I used the gorgeous colors from Finnabair's Art Recipe for August.

Charming Moment:
I really loved this color combination since rich yellow is not really a color that I use that often, I think it worked out really pretty here. This was Amelia her first photo shoot and she was a little doll! For this canvas I have used the "Serendipitous" mini collection with the cutout sheet and first I added the rub ons on the background paper then the pretty script stamp.

Then I added a script stencil with some Finnabair white crackle paste you see that behind my picture, then I made the grungy frames mould when it was dry I put heavy white gesso on it before treating it with other Finnabair products.

Then the building of my page starts I always love this part of creating, but firstly I treated the pretty frame with some amazing impasto paste, acrylic paint & waxes I love the way it turned out. At the end I added some Art Pebbles & Wishing Bubbles.

 Goodmorning my lovely friends,

As you all may know by now I am a die heart layout maker and it takes me roughly about five hours to create a layout. From the beginning untill the end {with the idea of papers & products I use leaving out of that time} So this next layout will not be any different although this design I made one time before. For this layout I have used two Maja Design collections "Miles Apart" & "Enjoying Outdoors"

You are The World to Me:

I wanted to follow the Art Recipe Moodboard on the Finnabair blog for this month which consists out of Purple, Rich Yellow and Fern Green....The beautiful frames are treated with rust paste, impasto paste and three different color waxes. The rest of the beautiful boards I kept just the way they are which is a gorgeous color. I only added some wax on the words "YOU" & "ME" to make it more matching my layout.

I used a pictures of our sweet Abbey and me....in our house we are in a different fase at the moment Abbey went to kindergarden for the first time last week. And it was very hard for her she was crying her eyes out but today she didn't want to go home with me lol, that's how fast they get used to it!

With this layout I will be entering this month's Art Recipe at the Finnabair blog for this layout I have used two products from the list and those are Pebbles & Impasto Paint and off course I have used a bunch of other Finnabair procust as well such as waxes, a stencil, white gesso, heavy body gel, liquid paint, rust paste & art stones.

"Shine Brightly" Hanna Mixed Media Panel playing at Finnabair's blog!

Hello dear friends,
How very nice of you to visit my blog, today I'd show you a mixed media panel. I made this project in honour of "Hanna Nicole Hale" my cousin her youngest daugther, who left this beautiful earth to be with god and the angels on July 23rd. I think to be creative in any way is very healing to the soul at least it is for me. It's totally out of my comfort zone to make something like this because most of you know my passion is with layout's & cards. But it was very theraputic and I really like how it tuned out.

Shine Brightly Hanna:
For this project I used a whole bunch of "Finnabair"products. First I added heavy white gesso on the background then I added a stencil to later on treat the background with a couple of Lindy's spray's & some Artisan Powder "Paris Rose"
I also used some fussy cut flowers from the Miles Apart collection by Maja Design all the words texts are from Tim Holtz. I would love it if Anna would make something like that one day ;-) Al the flowers are by Prima Marketing
If you look closely you see two greek numbers, two times eleven that was her age {22} and you see a four that is the age of her son. So you see this was made from the heart and I can tell you I shed a tear while making this.

Finnabair Products used:

Products to choose fromWax, Icing Paste, Impasto Paint, Stencil
The coloursdelicate green, dusty pink, light peach

I have used waxes & a stencil.

Thank you so much for your visit and I would like to wish you a wonderful, happy & creative day!

Never Give Up, Life is Beautiful Card Playing at ***Finnabair July 2021 Art Recipe***!

Goodmorning my lovely friends,
Today I'd like to share a card with you all. I made this card for this months "Art Recipe" at the Finnabair blog. Which is very appealing to the eye at least that is what I think. The phrase I have used here speaks so much to me because on the 23rd of July we have lost a family member {My cousin's daughter at the age of 22} Hanna leaves behind a handsome 4 year old boy & husband. It sadness me the way she died, of a overdose that's why I used that phrase.

"Never Give Up"
"Live Is Beautiful"

For this card I used some gorgeous Maja Design papers from the "Denim and Girls" collection. The amazing chipboard pieces here ar by the wonderful "Renea Bouquets" I have treated those chippies with some Rust Paste, waxes & peach paint.

The big peach coloured flower is a older one by Prima Marketing and the rest of the flowers are by 49 and Market. I also used my favorite stencil on this card called "Dandelions" and I used some two different moulds.

Lets have a look at the pretty art recipe:
Pretty right??
Products to choose from:

Wax

Icing Paste

Impasto Paint

Stencil

The colours: delicate green, dusty pink, light peach

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and I hope I have inspired you, have a wonderful rest of the day!

Summer Day Canvas June's Guest Designer for ***Mixed Media Academy*** + Playing at More Than Words!!!

 Goodmorning my lovely fans,

Today I share with you a reversed canvas that I created especially for "Mixed Media Academy" as their June Guest Designer. I won their amazing April challenge and because I did, I got to be a guest this month and I really love the moodboard...As most of you know I am a sucker for beachy things like shells, starfish and so much more! So this was a blessing to make let's have a look at the moodboard first.

Beautiful right? I just love teal, aqua, turquoise and greens to created with.
For this canvas I used some Maja Design paper from the Nyhavn collection which I stitched.....yesssss I own a sewing machine again. The flowers are by the amazing 49 and Market & the chippies by The Dusty Attic. All the mixed Media goodies are by Finnabair & some sprays by Lindy's.

Summer Day:

On the background sheet I used one of my favorite stencils {that I could not find online for a while, then someone told me where to get it and now I have two omg lol} on top of that I added two mica powders with lots of water. On the green frames I added the gotic stencil after I treated it with liquid acrylics....

On the picture you see cute little Kevin who is not so little anymore where did the time go....I used two moulds here one of a starfish & one of a shell those are treated with waxes. The chipboards are treated with liquid acrylics and a little bit of spray.

As a finishing touch I added some art stones & wishing bubbles. This was a wonderful project to create I sure hope I have inspired you with my work.

Thank you so much Priyanka Srivastava for having me as a guest designer I really appriciate it.

With this canvas I will be entering this months challenge at More Than Words I have used a whole bunch of paints here on this canvas all are from Finnabair {almost the only paints I use nowadays} especially the liquid ones are amazing ;-) with my first entry for this challenge I told you that our SON is my big "hero"he is turning into such a wonderful man now he is 16 years of age and I can not wait untill he is older I bet I will be so proud of him at all ages....on this picture Kevin is around the age of 6 years but it seems like such a long time ago wow...

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today and I want to wish you a wonderful weekend and stay safe & healty.
