When you receive an email from Victoria Scott asking you... as a "Jockey" and favorite blogger to help post teasers from her up and coming title - TITANS - first you freak out a bit because it's Victoria Scott and you LOVE her! And, secondly you calm down enough to say HECK YES!!!

So, earlier this week, we asked on twitter for readers and fans to pick random page numbers and she'd select teasers from those page numbers and well, take a look at what she's picked to share with us below!!!

Then after you're done reading these EPIC teasers, how about a giveaway???

Title: Titans
Author: Victoria Scott
Publisher: Scholastic Press, 320 Pages (Feburary 23rd, 2016)
Add to: Goodreads
Order here: Amazon, Barnes and Noble, The Book Depository, Amazon UK

Synopsis: From Victoria Scott, author of FIRE & FLOOD, comes a thrilling story of impossible odds.

Ever since the Titans first appeared in her Detroit neighborhood, Astrid Sullivan’s world has revolved around the mechanical horses. She and her best friend have spent countless hours watching them and their jockeys practice on the track. It’s not just the thrill of the race. It’s the engineering of the horses and the way they’re programmed to seem so lifelike. The Titans are everything that fascinates Astrid, and nothing she’ll ever touch.

She hates them a little, too. Her dad lost everything betting on the Titans. And the races are a reminder of the gap between the rich jockeys who can afford the expensive machines to ride, and the working class friends and neighbors of Astrid’s who wager on them.

But when Astrid’s offered a chance to enter an early model Titan in this year’s derby, well, she decides to risk it all. Because for a girl from the wrong side of the tracks, it’s more than a chance at fame or money. Betting on herself is the only way she can see to hang on to everyone in the world she cares about.

TEASERS:

“Steel grinds against steel as the horse turns sharply and barrels toward the gate, running full speed toward me. I jump backward, and almost don’t make it out of the way in time. The Titan slams into the space where my fingers were, and the jockey tears off his handkerchief and sunglasses. ‘Practices are closed to the public,’ he snaps.”

Page 31
“There’s a man standing in his open garage wearing a welding mask, a machine between his hands. He’s sliding something under the machine slowly but steadily, rotating the piece every few seconds. Orange sparks fly in all directions, and a high-pitched whirring reaches my ears.”

Page 46
“My grandfather’s gambling cost us our first family home, and my dad’s addiction will soon cost us our second.”

Page 53
“Cool metal rumbles beneath my fingers for only a fraction of a moment. And then its eyes flash open.”

Page 72
“The Titan slams against the starting gate, and I can’t help but agree. It’s like I’ve been back here an eternity, like I’ve spent my whole life in this exact spot, waiting to feel the breeze off a track slice through my hair.”

“Releasing a scream, I push the hurdle button.”

Title: Sing Your Heart Out (Sinful Serenade #1)
Author: Crystal Kaswell
Publisher: (Fall 2015)
Genres: New Adult, Romance
From: the Author
Format: eARC
Add to: Goodreads
Order a copy: Amazon, Amazon UK

NOTE: This is a "New Adult" novel. Due to mature content this title is recommended for ages 18+

Synopsis: Good girls don’t date rockstars.

They certainly don’t take rock stars as fuck buddies.

Still a virgin at 21, Meg Smart walks a straight and narrow path. She aces her classes, excels at her part time job, and carefully avoids the black hole that is mourning her sister. There’s no room in her life for trouble–no drinks, no drugs, and especially no boyfriends.

Fine with Miles.

Rock star Miles Webb doesn’t do boyfriend. He doesn’t do intimacy, or love, or anything that isn’t effortless and casual. The only time the singer reveals himself is on stage. His gorgeous, tortured voice hints at the kind of unspeakable pain Meg understands all too well. Only the second he steps off stage he transforms into a cocky, know-it-all player.

Their chemistry is red-hot. He’s tattooed, tall, and totally irresistible. She can’t handle a one-night stand, and a relationship is totally out of the question.

That only leaves one option:

Friends with benefits.

Just sex. Just fun.

No secrets, no feelings, no falling in love.

Only neither one of them can quite abide by the terms.

Review: 3 Stars - Sing Your Heart Out is the first in the Sinful Serenade series from author Crystal Kaswell. The series itself follows band members from the band – Sinful Serenade and their lives as they navigate the limelight that comes with fame.

Since this is the beginning of the series, we’ve had a chance to meet each of the band members and learn a bit about them. Nothing too much to really know what makes them tick, but enough to know who they are and a bit of who they might be in the books to follow. And this time our two main characters are Miles, lead singer and Meg a college senior who’s looking to apply to medical school.

So, one of the main things I love about this book is that each of these characters are hurting. They have issues and secrets they are holding close and deep inside that make them both feel human and relatable. It’s because the issues they are facing are honest and some that many of us will be able to understand on a deeper level. I know I did.

Each of the characters had so much to give yet were hiding behind their pain and issues that they weren’t honest with each other, their friends and themselves. Again, this is something that makes them relatable since sometimes throughout or lives we aren’t honest with the things that happen to us. Mainly because we don’t want to face what’s happening or maybe it’s more we don’t know how to deal with things.

We have two characters that are looking for things in their lives and things they are so set against being ready for. So through the journey we watch like a fly on the wall as you feel for them, and it did without a doubt affect me. My heart broke for these two more than once and I hated the pain they were facing.

However, there are some parts of the story that could have used work. It was more that it felt flat and not as even as it could have been compared to other parts. I wish the story had been a bit more fluid and while I felt so much for these characters there times that this “off-ness” bled over into the characters making them feel like completely different people from who they were just pages prior. Not to be confused with character growth, which also happened, but what I’m mentioning is something completely different.

In the end I did enjoy it, a 3 star is still a good rating to me and tends to mean that if there’s a sequel I’m ready to read more, which is the case for me and this series. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next and having a chance to get update(s) on both Meg and Miles to see where they are down the road in their lives and relationship.

Fans of contemporary titles and characters that are in a band, you should give this a try. Not sure when the next in the series will be released but I know I’ll be on the look out to find out which band member we’ll be following and what will happen within Soulful Serenade next. This is without a doubt a “New Adult”/Adult title due to language, drinking, sexual situations and more, so please keep that in mind when purchasing and reading. Enjoy!

Author: K.L. Grayson & B.T. Urruela
Publisher: (October 6th 201)
Add to: Goodreads
Order here: Amazon, Amazon UK

NOTE: This is a Adult novel. Due to mature content this title is recommended for ages 18+

Synopsis: In a matter of seconds my entire world changed, and it was in that moment that I stopped living and simply began to exist.

In my grief, I sent a letter to the first boy I ever loved. I hoped in writing it I’d find some peace from the nightmare I was living, some solace in my anger.

I didn’t expect him to write back. I wasn’t prepared for his words, and I certainly wasn’t ready for the impact this soldier would have on my life. A deep-rooted hate transformed into friendship, and then molded into a love like I’d never known before.

Sergeant Devin Ulysses Clay did what I couldn’t: he put the shattered pieces of my heart back together, restoring my faith in humanity and teaching me how to live again.

But now that I’m whole, I have a decision to make. Do I return to my life as I knew it and the fiancĂ© I left behind, or do I walk away from it all for the only man to ever break my heart?

***

I’ve been living in hell, but you won’t hear me complain.

These men depend on me, as I do them, and this brotherhood is the only family I’ve ever known.

The Army saved me from a callous mother and a life on the wrong side of the tracks that was quickly spiraling out of control. So unlike most of the men in my platoon, going home wasn’t something I longed for.

I was content overseas, spending my days defending this country that gave me my life back. Fighting became my new normal … until her.

A letter from Katie Devora—a letter that I almost didn’t open. Her words put a fire back inside of me that I didn’t know I’d lost. She gave me hope during a time when I was fighting every day just to stay alive, and now it’s time I fight for her.

Add to: Goodreads
Order here: Amazon, Barnes and NobleAmazon UK

NOTE: This is a "New Adult" novel. Due to mature content this title is recommended for ages 18+

Synopsis: A new adult romance from Entangled's Embrace imprint...

Sometimes all a girl needs is a little practice...

It's been twelve months, three days, and eleven hours since accounting student Scarlett Logan made it past a second date. A pitcher of mojitos in hand, she employs her supreme graphing skills to narrow things down to one horrifying explanation. Kissing. Clearly someone needs to teach her how to kiss properly. Like, say, her best friend and roomie, Finn Mackenzie. He's safe, he's convenient, and yeah, maybe just a little gorgeous.

Finn knows exactly why Scarlett's boyfriends are disappearing quickly. Him. Not a single guy she's brought home is nearly good enough. And he'll be damned if he lets some loser give her "kissing lessons." No. He'll do the honors, thank you very much. The moment their lips touch, though, everything turns upside down. But Scarlett deserves the one thing Finn can't give her. And if he doesn't put an end to the sexy little shenanigans, he'll teach Scarlett the hardest lesson of all...heartbreak.

Excerpt:

“I haven’t forgotten we kissed, obviously, but I can’t remember details, like what the most effective elements were.”
I shifted in my seat. Every second of that kiss was burned into my memory bank. It seemed that hadn’t been as mutual as I’d suspected. I blew out a breath and focused on being a teacher in the situation, not a man who’d been carried away with his own lesson.
“I think you’re over-analyzing this. The elements don’t matter on their own. It’s more about the big picture.”
“Would you say that to your undergrads? Don’t worry about the specifics of the aqueducts, or which emperor came to power in what year. It’s more about the big picture of knowing there was a Roman Empire?”
“Well, no, but it’s completely different,” I said, looking down the hall and wondering if I could escape the conversation by simply leaving.
“How?” she persisted. “In both cases, you’re teaching something. So the student needs the topic broken down into bite-size pieces.”
At the word “bite” all the air left the room. Scarlett must have interpreted my silence to be disbelief because she grabbed a pen and a sheet of paper.
“Here.” She smoothed it out on the coffee table in front of us. “I’ll graph it for you.”
That snapped me back. “You’re going to graph our kiss?”
She drew an X and Y axis, then a line that went up across the page, but not smoothly—there were spikes and bumps along its progress.
“So, here, for example”—she pointed to a sharp rise in the line—“you did something and the kiss took off. What was it?”
“Seriously?” She wanted to talk as if it had been a clinical experience?
“If this had been a kiss for kissing’s sake, then, sure, we could leave it alone. But it was a lesson. How am I supposed to learn if I don’t remember the stimulus that caused the response?”
“You don’t need to. You were great. There’s nothing more to learn.” Better than great. Her kissing had been phenomenal.
“Again, if an undergrad wanted to learn more about the Roman Empire than they needed to for the first-year exam, would you tell them they were fine, or would you point them to more resource material?”
I blinked. “I’m resource material?”
She threw her hands up in the air, as if she was the one who was exasperated. “You’re the one who offered the lesson in the first place, so yes. You are my resource material on kissing.”
I looked over at the array of empty beer bottles on the coffee table. “We really need to make it a rule that we don’t talk about kissing after we’ve been drinking.”
“You’d rather have this conversation stone-cold sober?”
“I’d rather not have this conversation at all.”
“Oh.” Her face fell.
“What?” I asked warily.
“It’s just occurred to me that although I thought the kiss was good, you might not have enjoyed it at all. That’s why you’re fighting so hard against a follow up lesson.” She scrunched up her nose. “It was awful for you.”
I rubbed my temples—I was getting a headache trying to keep up with her thought processes and keep us out of dangerous territory.
“It wasn’t awful.” Amazing would be closer.
“Then why are you so against a follow-up lesson so I can focus on the bits I’ve forgotten?”
Something in the way she said “forgotten” made everything inside me rear up and protest. Maybe it was vanity, maybe it was neediness, but whatever it was, I didn’t want to be considered a forgettable kisser. Especially by Scarlett.
My gaze zeroed in on her mouth as I wrapped an arm around her and tugged her closer, but not quite touching. Her eyes widened and her pink tongue darted out to moisten her lips. I groaned.
“See if you can forget this,” I said, and lowered my head.

About the Author:

As a teenager, I was a voracious reader of science fiction, until one day when I was 16, I saw Pride and Prejudice on television. The old version with Laurence Olivier and Greer Garson. I adored it. I’d seen it in the TV guide and, since I had a crush on Laurence Olivier after seeing him in Henry V, I’d taped it.

I watched that tape so often I can still recite most of the dialogue by heart. I sought out the book, devoured it, then found every other Jane Austen book and read and reread them frequently. I only discovered romance as a genre as an adult. Imagine my delight when I first read modern versions of Jane Austen!

Now I read most subgenres of romance, from category to historical to romantic comedy. Such a banquet!

Synopsis: To touch a Dark One is death. To talk to an immortal is suicide.
Yet, I've been marked by both.
A Vampire.
And the King of the immortals.
My life is no longer my own.
And now I know the truth, my life was never mine to begin with.
It was theirs.
It's always been theirs.

Excerpt:

I didn't open my eyes. "No staying in bed all day?"
"About that…" Ethan sighed. "The good news is it will feel like we've been in bed for days when really it could have been mere hours."
"Hmm?" I perked up. "Well, that's a nice trick."
"I'm full of them." His eyes sparkled. "Care to know more?"
"Yes," I whispered, my mouth finding his.
With a groan, he pushed me back against the mattress and loomed over me, his naked body glorious-looking against the sunlight streaming through the window. "Perhaps we'll stay a bit longer."
"Yes." I nodded my head eagerly. "I'm your mate, after all. Don't you want me to be pleased?"
"You were pleased at least four times last night, possibly five, if we count the time I—"
"Shh." I put my hands over his mouth.
He smirked. "Afraid the dust will hear?"
I rolled my eyes.
"Ethan!" Alex's voice boomed on the other side of the door. "Feed her!"
"Ignore him," Ethan hissed.
The knock got louder. "For the love of God, she's human. Give her food."
"He's a siren. He knows nothing." Ethan continued kissing me.
"Mason will break down the door if he has to." Fighting broke out in the hall. "Ethan, I can smell the sex from here. One immortal to another, feed her before you can't feed from her anymore."
Ethan growled and pulled back from me. "They have no manners."
I was half-tempted to cover my face with my hands. Had they heard us? Of course they'd heard us, and they knew, and they could… Yeah, I wanted to crawl under the bed and hide for a few days. Instead, Ethan pounced from the bed, put on a pair of jeans, and jerked open the door while I tried to hide beneath the covers.
Alex peered over Ethan's shoulder and waved.
I had no choice but to wave back and hope that I wasn't as red as I felt.
"She's alive." Alex held up his hand for a high five. "No? Not funny? Too soon?"
"Horrible joke," Mason said next to him. "I made eggs. She's going to need food. Make her eat everything on the plate and—"
He was still talking when Ethan slammed the door in his face and brought a giant plate of food over to me.
"Forgive them." Ethan scowled. "There aren't typically secrets between us, and they're just concerned for you."
I pointed at the eggs, ten slices of bacon, and toast. "Clearly, they don't want me to starve."
"Wolves." Ethan looked heavenward. "He should be more concerned with his own diet, the ass."
"It does smell good." I moved up the bed so I could lean against the headboard. "Do you eat?"
Ethan's lips curved into a predatory smile. "I ate several times last night. Care for me to refresh your memory?"
My cheeks burned.
"So tempting." He reached for a piece of bacon and held it to his lips, taking a small bite that had my entire body clenching to keep from reaching out and attacking him. "And yes, I can eat. I typically do eat but haven't been because when we drink, we don't need normal food."
"But before me…" I grabbed a piece of toast. "You were eating normal food."
"I like you better." He winked. "But yes, I was."
"Good to know I'm better than bacon."
"Your taste…" His eyes brightened. "…is unlike anything I've ever had."
"Hmm…" I licked my lips.
"Stop it," he hissed and looked away. "Damn, I can't watch you eat. I'm going to shower while you eat your entire plate as per Mason's orders, and then I'll contemplate letting you leave this room so you can go to the bookstore."
"Ah!" I almost knocked over the food. "My job! Am I late? Will I get fired?"
Ethan burst out laughing. "It's eight in the morning. He's expecting you when I drop you off. No sooner, no later. You won't get fired. He wouldn't dream of it, and you really are adorable."
"And hot." I sighed.
"That too."
"No, I mean hot, as in, it's scorching in here."
Ethan winced. "You may be that way for a few days."
"Hot?"
He nodded.
"Why?"
"Too much vampire blood makes you overheat a bit." He shrugged. "It won't turn you— You're very much human, like I've said before, but sometimes the vampire blood causes a type of burn to take over in your bloodstream, not painful, just not exactly pleasant if it's a hundred degrees outside."
"Good thing it's Seattle." I bit into the toast.
"Yes, well, I imagine at this point, raindrops would simply turn to vapor if they landed on your skin."
I smiled.
"Shower." He nodded. "I'm going to turn around now and walk away."
"Narrating?"
"Apparently, that's what I do when I can think of nothing more than ripping that sheet from your body, slamming you into the nearest wall, and possessing you all over again."
I dropped the toast.
He growled, taking two steps toward me, then swore and turned back around.
"Have a good shower!" I called.
Another growl was his answer, and then his jeans went flying. I wasn't laughing anymore.

Because Sexy doesn’t sell… it’s for sale.

Sexy is a full-length, standalone novel by New York Times Bestselling author, JA Huss.

Excerpt:

“Mr. Novak,” Amy, the resort manager, says in her businesslike tone, “there was a meeting this afternoon. I had it on your calendar and you missed it. I’m sure, as always, you have a good reason for that? I expect to hear it tomorrow at nine AM sharp.” She pauses for a moment to sigh. “And Fletcher, just so you know, it had better be monumental.”
There’s a click and the computer voice starts giving me options before I can disconnect the call.
Fucking management. I hate that corporate shit they do. And I hate these monthly meetings even more. But I have a show to do, so I push it away and head back downstairs. The ordinarily quick lift takes a few minutes and is filled with rich, drunk gamblers by the time it gets to my floor, so when I finally walk back through the stage door, Chandler is already calling my name.
“Fletcherrrrrrr…” he roars above the crowd of cheers.
“You’re late again, bro,” Bill says, walking by with his costume in his hand, sweat falling down his face after his dance routine. His hard body is rippled with muscles and his wet-look thong is stuffed with dollars.
          But I’m a professional, remember?
I take the small set of stairs two at a time and push the curtain aside, just as Chandler says my name again. His expression is one of annoyance as he looks at the curtain, but then he realizes I’m here and it turns to relief. “Novakkkkkk…” he says, placing the mic in the stand and walking off stage on the opposite side.
I throw up my arms, allowing the tight white t-shirt to stretch across my chest and rise up from the waistband of my tattered jeans a little. The spotlight flashes directly overhead—just one brief tease of what’s to come—and the audience goes wild at that little bit of skin. But before they can do anything else, the stage goes dark again and the music starts bumping.
I don’t talk on stage. No one wants to hear what I’ve got to say. They only want to see what I can do with this body. Hardened from years of sports and diligent gym visits. Lean muscles accentuated with a grace that you only get with a decade or more of martial arts training. That’s all they want. That’s all they see. I’m just something to look at when I’m up here.
So I give them exactly what they expect. A show.
I start dancing, my hips moving to the beat of the song. Another flash of light from above.Another round of screams. And then silence as I freeze.
Whistles and catcalls start. But I hold my pose—fingertips on the back of my shirt, ready to oblige their insatiable need for the sight of bare flesh tonight. Then another flash. I drag the shirt up in that brief glimpse, and then darkness mimics my pause. The next flash they see my abs, the dream six-pack that’s mostly genetics, but I do my share of crunches. Then another flash and I give them the pecs, flexing the muscles and making them dance a little. And in that final flash, I rip the shirt over my head.
The front row stands, waving their dollar bills in the air, begging to shower me with money.
I twirl the shirt several times, taking in the throngs of women with their hands up, ready to catch the prize, and then throw it to a little redhead just as all the lights come on to the beat of the bass. I train my eyes on the crowd, ready to start the real show, and then the lights switch from me to them, lighting up their faces—red with the heat of five hundred woman jostling for position in the room. All of them there for me in this moment. It pans to the left side, and I use those three seconds to search for my star. Then down the middle. My eyes train on a woman in a light-colored suit sitting dead center before I lose her in the darkness and switch to the right side.

Synopsis: Sometimes engagement rings can get lost and then found. Sometimes people can too. All it takes is a heavy-duty dose of karma and the magic of Manhattan to make it all come together.

Leah is a financially destitute new age hippy. James is a wealthy surgeon with a trust fund. She’s awkward, he’s poised. She’s completely crazy, he’s way too sane. People might say they have nothing in common, but they’d be wrong. They both live in Manhattan, they both have no idea how to change a baby diaper, and they’re both lost … until they find one another.
Excerpt:

Leah.

I’m still feeling like a Disney princess when I leave the store mid-afternoon and head to the subway. I only work half-days because that’s all Belinda can afford, and usually that stresses me out on account of the fact that I make almost no money, but today, I’m perfectly fine with it. The sun is shining, my favorite fountain is working and sending white water splashing all over the place, and …
“Shiiit!” I yelp, slipping on the sidewalk and nearly busting my ass in the process. I’m saved by my ninja-esque skills as I grab the edge of a garbage can affixed to the concrete next to the street. I hang there for a couple seconds until I can get my feet under me again.
“Oh, man, that’s some bad luck right there,” says a guy who’s walking past and looking at the reason for my near-fall.
I cringe as I stand up and realize I’ve slipped on a dog turd. Literally. It’s a poop right there on the ground.
“Who didn’t clean up after their dog?!” I yell, for some reason imagining that the perpetrator is still hanging around the scene of the crime, when I know perfectly well he stopped, plopped, and ran. “This isn’t Paris, you know!”
I’ve heard there’s dog poop all over the sidewalks there, but here in New York, people usually take care of their doggie-business. Unfortunately, my head was too full of dreams of re-designing Belinda’s place to realize where my feet were placing themselves.
“What the hell am I going to do now?”
I look down the sidewalk and notice a man with a hot dog cart up ahead, and an idea-lightbulb goes on above my head. Hot dog carts have lots of napkins. Score.
As I start to hobble over, an alarmed expression comes over the vendor’s face and he starts shaking his finger at me.
“Oh, no, lady, no no. No doggy stuff for me. No, not for me. Not for you. No, no.” For some reason his horrible accent is making this worse. His hand becomes a stop sign. “You go away!”
