oh yeah. went chinatown back on monday after a rather surprisingly quick life science practical session where we only took 2+ hours out of the 4 hours. good bye pipetter! i still prefer the chem labs even though its non-airconditioned. chinatown was as usual FLOODED. its only a weekday night you know. though i live the nearest but its been ages since i visit the bazaar since i hated crowds. but its fun to go out with sharks as we went on a food spree! the mango thing at the desert shop is very very nice. its a must try thingie. =) things are still rather expensive there. maybe i should visit it again near the days to cny that is in less than 1 week's time! money is coming in again! =)
and i took my driving test today! the weather was very hot and the warm up didn't go as well. mounted kerb haha. parallel parking my mirror was outside the poles lol. at least the poles didn't fall off haha. was pretty lucky today to get a bukit batok test route and the timing advised by my instructor worked! took it during the lunch time and the circuit was very empty haha. overtook a police van on bukit batok road also haha. so the end result is.. *drum roll* i passed! i passed with only 12 points haha. 6 for fail to keep a safe distance, 4 for turning steering wheel while stationary during parking ( which i didn't lor) and 2 for sharp turning ( i used to have wide turning) haha. compared to my 34 in previous test its really quite good improvement made with the extra 500 bucks spent.

and i will be going for driving orientation lessons to learn how to park without poles and drive in multi-storey carpark and expressway! 2 more last lessons for me! unless i am going to take class2 lessons (bike) provided my mum agrees haha. my dad has finally agreed! lets see how it goes. its much more cheaper buying a bike than a car but the chance of accidents are higher lets see how. =)
oh yeah its a happy chinese new year for me and a belated vday present for myself haha. =) meanwhile everyone a happy cny! =)

yay. removed my stitches this morning. finally~ still have a hole in the gum (where the surgeon cut into my gum) that can potentially trap food and cause problem but heard from dentist is going to take months to heal. oh well. but at least i can try and revert back to my old eating habits after surviving on porridge for a 1 week with the evil stall in science canteen that forever sells out that chicken porridge haha.
oh yeah. its a black-shirt day as shown on the picture with rare appearance by mr tan who only has lunch with us for n times where n < 10 haha and it is already end of week 5! monday was a red-shirt day whereby we prepare for new year and also so call celebrate singapore for winning the asean football championships haha. its more for the first reason la ah =P
hooked on tv reality series now. survivor fiji just started last night! cook islands ended last week. whoa. seems like tv reality shows chalk up most of my tv time rather than other shows. though well the survivors who participated in the show want to win the million US bucks rather than getting the experience of being castaway with no aircon blah blah, its still nice to see how they really try and adapt to a new environment by working hard, finding food.. its also a way of seeing how the strategic game is played and so on. cool challenges and twists in the game so far just got me glued to this series. and oh yeah! amazing race is back again! they didn't show on channel 5 for quite some time but this time its another All-Stars season! premiering on the 19th feb! hope i can catch it as much as possible woo hoo~ =) new places to look at with the sceneries around the world where most probably i wouldn't be able to visit like some interesting countries like russia ( da makes me jealous ahah) and perhaps just some european countries. =)
quite sick of school now. i am really behind time yet no motivation to do anything else. lectures are a bore especially physical and bio chem where i don't understand much from there. now mostly i will go school to see sharkies more than anything else and trying to mass load stuff into my brain before the exams comes and 3 months of holidays to look forward too haha. emotional roller coaster-ride nowadays too. i need to stay focused.
and driving test is next week! having a 'date' with driving instructor the day before my test. really hopes to clear it or else my bank account is depleting and i need to wait another 3 months for the next test date. then new year i can start driving around also and learn how to really park properly without the 4/6 poles around.
meanwhile chinese new year is coming up! and so does mid term break with 3 papers coming after that. at least its a well deserved break from weekly lab reports. carrying out simple distillation is interesing rather than just learning it from the notes haha. and going for 07 gathering with steamboat at cy's house later! okie guys. happy chinese new year! =)

oh yeah its been a long long time since i updated again. the usual laziness overwhelmed me again for this month after school started about 4 weeks ago. haha. hectic sem i suppose with so much harder modules to take whereby we still like 'huh what is prof saying?' biochem killing me rapidly. not mentioning the ever hard physical chem haha. at least i have prabha as my tutor! (both lab and tutorial)! lets just hope i can survive this sem and aim for my targetted cap! =)
nothing much happening these days. usual stuff of attending lessons and lecturers. english lessons though it is really like teaching very technical stuff like critical reading and writing (yawnz) but at least well its the most interactive module that i have taken so far whereby the tutor will try and get active participation from us! a fairly entertaining tutor for that. =) and attending lectures with more sharkies that included the fairies and where tan is forever ponning lecture since he had changed his 'major' to csc. haha.
last week got a chance to paddle up to marina bay with the canoe people bringing with us the participants whereby we explored de quays! did anyone spotted people kayaking to near the esplanade and fullerton hotel? oh yeah its really very cool and much entertaining as compared to kayaking to ubin or whatever haha. and finally had a chance again to stay on the powerboat! maybe i shall go take the powerboat license when i have a chance =) a nice cloudy day for kayaking with no sun but still i gotta burnt. haha. canoe people are fun people where they encourage you and entertain you at the same time =)
oh yeah just removed 2 of my wisdom teeth today since 1 was growing out at the wrong angle and they normally remove in pairs. 1 extraction 1 surgery haha. was saying to chau that i lost half of my wisdom with 2 out of the 4 wisdom teeth removed! haha. lets see if what i claimed was right lol. still feeling painful and its getting swollen. looks as if i got beaten up by someone haha. surviving on porridge now and hoping the pain will go away soon haha. removing the stitches from the surgery next week le. =) so people please don't tempt me with food this whole week okie? =P i can't eat well with the swelling haha. and the surgeon was like 'i think she needs braces u know' haha. oh no. lets see how it goes. don't want to suffer this pain again.
its february already! how time really past and its like so near to mid term. no wonder they say life in uni pass very fast ( from my lab TA). feel as if like i am growing older and older everyday and the sun rises and sets fast without realising. oh well. and yuppie seems like life is pretty fragile too. lets treasure everyone around us. take care everyone! and in case i don't come back in time, happy cny! =)
