Weekend happenings...

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. My mine was very productive which has made me feel much more relaxed about Christmas. I managed to nearly do all of our Christmas shopping that, as of last week, was barely started. And we managed to do it in lightning fast time which was even better. We had a delicious dinner (pictures shown) last night and also took Lily and Molly for a swim at Pittwater during the day which they loved. They were beside themselves with excitement!

And, to top things off my newest delivery of Samantha Robinson beauties will arrive today - the first lot went very quickly, i'm very excited to have more and in different colours this time round.

Have a wonderful week everyone! Kellie xx

More tea, baking and family!

Seems I have tea and cakes on my mind this week. Must be because my delightful sister in law (and her wonderful husband and three gorgeous girls) are coming to visit this weekend. I have spoken about Nicole before who not only has a teacup collection of enormous proportions, she is also the queen of baking! Luckily she won't be seeing my disastrous macarons this weekend... Perhaps I need to make some fool proof cupcakes instead... Kellie xx

Pretty {and cheap} chandelier...

A stunning DIY chandelier for ah, a teeny tiny $10! Gorgeous, gorgeous for a lovely outdoor party! Throw that in with some gorgeous fabric on the table and seems like a winner to me. See the full details {here}... Kellie

A different kind of table styling

Seems I have pretty table settings on my mind this week although this one is very different from a post I put together yesterday. How gorgeous is the table linen and the gorgeous plates. each different, each with their own character. Of course that darling chandelier just hanging there so sweetly works a treat as well. I'm quite drawn to the flower arrangement too, possibly not my normal style but stunning nonetheless. Kellie xx

Darling table styling

What a stunning table setting. So elegant, rustic and ornate. I adore it's unfinished, easy look. Would fancy something like this for my home. Just for breakfast on a Saturday. Kellie xx

Just a little of time and detail...

Such magical colours! These sugar cubes are all hand made at Such Pretty Things. You know, I love the look of tiny, elegant delights such as this although as I have such poor patience (and at times attention to detail), creating such little beauties seems like such a challenge. Perhaps though, on a rainy day, I should give it a shot. Any one else suffer from the disorder of serious lack of patience?! Kellie xx

My kind of teacup...

I thought you may like to see this...My Pop kept this for me from his Christmas Luncheon at his retirement village the other day. He knew I would adore it and what a fabulous yet simple concept it is!

To make it all you need is....

1. Biscuits
2. Marshmallow
3. Half a mint lifesaver
4. Freckle chocolate
5. Icing mixture to glue it all together.

AND... Wallah! As a tea lover I thought this was absolutely divine. Agree? Kellie xx

Books done stylishly...

Who would have thought books could be so stylish and pretty. What a beautiful way to incorporate vintage decor into an elegant event. Vibrant, fabulous and ornate. Gorgeous ideas of the home too. Kellie xx

Fancy coming over?

Luke has started building my deck! To celebrate it's completion (no actual idea when that will be) we will hold a lovely dinner party. The food might not be perfect (cooking is certainly not my forte), i hope the decor and styling may make up for my cooking skills!

I love the quirkiness evoked through the gorgeous colours, fabrics, details and femininity here. A stunning yet fun inspiration. Kellie x

Beautiful styling by Lolliop, thank you to the lovley Amanda at Weekend Host for the intro.... x
