I grabbed my camera yesterday and snapped a few pics so I thought I would share them with you.
The first pic is a view of our yard from the front porch. As you can see there are still spots that doesn't have grass on them yet. Mr. B pulled those crates/pallets up today, finally, after they had been lying there for a walk way should anyone choose to come through the front door. It is really sad because we have not had time to do any major work outside in the yard so we have vowed that this week we are purchasing the landscape timbers to line the sidewalk with, we are also going to get our pea gravel and stepping stones and get it done. I told Mr. B Sunday that I was tired of looking at that redneck get-up of a side walk we had and being the good man that he is, he got the pallets out of the way. This weekend all he has to do is back the trailer up and load them then take them to the landfill. Our walnut trees finally bloomed, we were beginning to wonder if the weather had gotten to them like it did our pecan tree out near the drive, that tree is starting to bloom as well. You can see my dads fruit and veggie garden across from my yard, the pretty green plants on the left are strawberries and my oh my are the delicious!
Here is a not-so-good pic of the living room. As you can see I have no drapes up nor do I have my any of my wall hangings or paintings up because we haven't had time to get them out of storage yet. I have a big Thomas Kincaid print that is going behind the sofa and I can't wait to see it there. Behind the love seat you can see a stack of hardwood, Brazilian cherry to be exact, Mr. B was going to build our table top out of this but never had time so he is trying to decide what to build with it now that we have bought a dinning table. I wish the light in this pic were better so that you could see the floors better, I LOVE my hardwood floors! See that recliner there? I don't sit in it very often because every time I do I fall asleep, no joke! If I sit in that chair without slouching my feet are about a foot and a half from touching the floor. This chair swallows me whole and it is so comfy, plus it has the massage and heating on it which is awesome!
Here is a pic of the living room from another angle, I was standing in front of the entrance to the dinning room when I took this one. The floors show up a little better in this pic.
As I said above, Mr. B was going to build our table but he just hasn't had the spare time to do it so we finally bought one. I was amazed that I found what I wanted after looking so long, it is really hard to find a solid wood, simple design table these days that isn't stained dark dark brown or black. I didn't think about it at the time but I will have to get a pic of the actual table top so you can see it, it looks like hardwood floors done with inch and a half strips of wood. I felt sorry for the guys that delivered this table because there were only two of them and with the table being solid wood it is very heavy , they had to remove the legs just to carry it. I don't have place mats or a center piece on there yet but will post an updated pic once those things have been placed.
I couldn't remember if I had ever talked about or shown a pic of my grandfather clock. My father-in-law and mother-in-law built this clock and gave it to us as a Christmas gift three years ago. It is solid oak with a natural finish and I absolutely love it!
Here is another shot of the clock, I am not sure which pic shows it better.
In all of the pics that I have posted of our sofa and love seat, the colors look like they are the same as the wall color so I wanted to show you all that they are not that color. It is three different shades of green, two different shades of red, cream, and a light brown but for some reason from a distance the green and red strips look like the tan color on the walls.
I am glad that I will have the time for the next few weeks to do some decorating.
That is pretty much all I have for now. So I hope you have enjoyed them and y'all have a good day!

Breazy, This is just awesome! I love the look of your house & I love the yard with so many lovely trees there!!!
The grandfather clock is the best! I cant believe that your pa & ma in law did that for you! here it would be unthinkable!!!
I think you are very lucky to have married in such a family! May good fortunes always be yours, because I see that you are such a good person yourself!
Mona..thank you for your kind words! HUGS!
Awesome!!! Looks like it's really becoming home.
Gorgeous hardwood floors!! I am so jealous. :)
Sigh. My hubby and I have different ideas of what makes a house a home. We have been looking off and on for a ranch home, but we don't agree on which house we like. Oh, well.
Love your new dining room table & chairs Miss Breazy :-). I know you sure wish that hubby could've had time to build ya'lls, that would've just been too cool. But hey maybe he could use that wood to build ya'll a table for outside to go on ya'lls deck when you get it built? Ya think? I dunno just and idea:-). I just love your living room furniture too. The colors really go well:-). And that clock is such a treasure I'm sure.
Have a great day!!
((hugs))
