Last week Newhaven hosted the annual Ecumenical Schools Australia conference involving sixty representatives from more than twenty schools across Victoria.

I am always pleased to show off our school to visitors and had particular pride in showing it to fellow Principals. The feedback I received was overwhelmingly positive. Principals were very taken with the stunning natural environment and the quality of our facilities. But what pleased me most was how impressed they were with all of our students that they interacted with. Watching them at school they could see how happy and engaged they were in their learning. Each student they met was positive, respectful and friendly. Of course all of us in our community are not surprised to hear this as we know what wonderful students we have at our school. However, it is nice to be reminded of that once in a while particularly from a group of experienced educators.

Head of Senior School 鈥� Mr Brett Torstonson

This week I had the pleasure in announcing Mr Brett Torstonson as our ongoing Head of Senior School. Brett was our Director of Operations and stepped into the role of Head of Senior School in an acting capacity this term. Before joining Newhaven in 2022 Brett had a broad range of experiences in teaching including leadership roles at a number of high performing independent schools in Melbourne such as Methodist Ladies College (MLC), Xavier College and St Kevin鈥檚 College. We wish Brett all the best in this important position at Newhaven.

Acting Head of Middle School in Term Four 鈥� Mr Geoff White

Next term our Head of Middle School, Mr Ralph Arceo, will be taking well deserved long service leave. I am pleased that Mr Geoff White has agreed to be acting Head of Middle School in Ralph鈥檚 absence. Many would be aware that Geoff was in the role of Head of Middle School until the end of last year and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role.

Term Three has ended very busily for all of our students and staff. Sporting finals, camps, excursions, music concerts and the Junior School production are just some of the important events that have been taking place. On behalf of the College I would like to wish all of our Newhaven families a happy and safe term break. We look forward to welcoming our students back to school on Monday 7 October.

We particularly appreciate the four parents from our Equestrian team who came especially to the Year 9 Environmental Centre to allow fresh footage to be made. Our MTB Academy also made a special visit.

As always, we need parents to help! Even an hour can help! If you can lend a hand with our various stalls, please do so at: . A reminder that in accordance with school policy, all volunteers must complete a volunteer pack and have a valid Working With Children Check.

Fete Planning Meeting
Our next fete planning meeting will be held next week at 1.30pm on 20 September 2024 in the school boardroom. Everyone in our school community is welcome to attend to help plan the event.

Do you have a food truck or local business that would like to have a stall at the fete? Or would your business consider becoming a sponsor and donating a major prize for our Stars Lotto or a smaller gift/product or voucher for either the Stars Lotto or Silent Auction? Reading Habits to Enhance Learning

I am very impressed with our students' nightly home reading habits. The support, collaboration, and dedication displayed by all have been remarkable. The strong partnership between home learning and school has significantly benefited each child. As the term ends, we look forward to celebrating and recognising students who consistently demonstrate strong reading habits at home.

Our Young Maestros Concert featured students predominantly from Junior and Middle School, including our Junior School Choir, Strings and Band students, and the Junior Guitar Ensemble. Junior School Production

As Term 3 draws to a close, the Junior School is hitting its peak! A huge amount of work has taken place this term leading up to our much-anticipated Junior School Production. The school has been buzzing with song and excitement, thanks to the incredible efforts of Nina and David Prideaux. We are extremely fortunate to have such dedicated teachers who, as a dynamic duo, have contributed immensely by directing 鈥楯ust a Drip,鈥� writing scripts and lyrics, composing music, and choreographing the performances. 

This production provides each child with an incredible opportunity to perform in front of an audience, a skill that many of our Junior School students understand as a natural part of school life. From Junior School Assemblies to Choir performances and daily classroom activities, our students are regularly exposed to public speaking and performance.

Dads and Donuts

Our Junior School students recently hosted the Dads and Donuts Morning, celebrating the important role of fathers or special people in their lives. This special event was wonderfully attended and created memorable moments for all who participated. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special morning.

Year 3 Camp

Our Year 3 students had great success at Candlebark Farm Camp, surrounded by rolling hills and pristine wilderness. They embraced the great outdoors, learned essential life skills and developed a deeper appreciation for nature. Highlights included night walks and a low ropes course, making every moment an adventure.

At Healesville Sanctuary, our young explorers came face-to-face with Australia's unique wildlife, including koalas, kangaroos and emus, gaining an understanding of the importance of conservation and biodiversity.

A big thank you to Mrs. Smart, Nick Russo, Jock Potter, Sonia Van Damme, Mel Ferretto, Tim Van, and our dedicated teachers Jackie Clark and Marcelle Krieg for making this camp possible.

Veggie Garden

Our students have been hard at work in the school veggie patch, nurturing their green thumbs and learning about gardening. Under the guidance of Mrs Clark and Andre from the wellbeing team, they鈥檝e been involved in some truly engaging activities that blend education with fun.

Our Gardening Club has also seen fantastic participation every Gold Friday, with students eagerly digging, planting and harvesting. It's wonderful to see such enthusiasm and teamwork in our garden!

Michael Wagner - Author Visit

On Friday 6 September 2024 students from Prep 鈥� Year 6 were fortunate enough to be entertained by the very funny author Michael Wagner. Michael has written several books for early childhood and older children. His talk was described by students as 鈥渆ntertaining, funny and inspirational鈥�. Michael shared stories about his childhood, his family life and demonstrated how he always kept a journal and how his characters have come to life. He engaged all ages by adapting the content of his talk and was well received by students and staff.

Michael has written many books such as: Dirt by Sea, Why I Love Footy and Destiny's Right Hand Man.

Thank You for a Fabulous Term 3

As we come to the end of a successful Term 3, I want to express my sincere gratitude to all students, parents and staff for their ongoing support. Spring is now upon us, with warmer days, new leaves sprouting on trees and the days growing longer. This season brings with it a sense of hope鈥攚hether it鈥檚 the hope your AFL team is still in contention for the flag, or the rejuvenation we all feel as we head toward the school holidays.

We鈥檝e had some great moments, including the Year 8 and Year 6 camps, House and SEISA Cross Country, the Book Week Parade, the Spring Concert, RUOK? Day, Year 8 Medieval Day, excursions and incursions and a couple of fundraisers that have brought us together as a community.

As mentioned in our final assembly of the term to students, I hope that throughout this term, students have continued to work hard, put in the effort and involve themselves in classroom activities with the goal of learning and growing. Building positive partnerships with classmates and teachers is crucial, and I hope students and staff have been able to strengthen these connections.

This has been my first three terms in Middle School, and I鈥檝e enjoyed working with the students, parents and the staff. At times, challenges can be complex, but we are all working as a team to guide and support the students to be their best.

As we move forward, my hope is that Middle School continues to grow as a community of learners鈥攁 group that comes together to learn with and from each other.

On a personal note, I would like to inform you that I will be on Long Service Leave in Term 4. Mr. Geoff White will be stepping into the role of Head of Middle School during my absence. Geoff is highly experienced and familiar with our students, staff and parents, having held this position previously. I am confident that with his leadership, the Middle School will continue to run smoothly. Geoff will work closely with the Middle School staff, particularly the House Leaders, to ensure that everything stays on track.

Thank you again for a fabulous term, and I wish you all a restful and enjoyable break. I look forward to hearing about all the great things that will happen in Term 4.

I鈥檇 like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who supported and gave generously to our final fundraiser for the year. It was satisfying to see students and staff dressed in their AFL colours last Friday, bringing a sense of community and fun to the day.

Congratulations to all the students who received a Certificate of Credit, Distinction, and High Distinction in the Australian Mathematics Competition and Computational and Algorithmic Thinking. Your hard work and dedication were celebrated in our Middle School assembly, and we are proud of your outstanding achievements!

Year 5 Dream City Incursion - Unlocking our students futures

We may have uncovered our next engineers, neonatal nurses and VR specialists!

Our Year 5 students were enthusiastic participants in our recent Dream City incursion. Dream City allows students to take on careers of the future and consider their interests and strengths in particular fields. Students participated in three sessions throughout the morning. They undertook the role of an engineer, where they programmed a robot to speak, light up and move at speed whilst navigating obstacles. 

Students also had the opportunity to enter the realm of a neonatal nurse, where they weighed, measured and cared for babies. This was a wonderful opportunity for students to show care and compassion and consider roles in roles and the health care industry. Finally, students were immersed in the world of VR. The opportunities for employment in this field will only increase, and we are seeing many technical and high risk roles now completing training via VR. Students thoroughly enjoyed the Dream City experience and it sparked many positive career reflections.

Year 8 Medieval Day

Throughout Term 3, the Year 8 cohort have been investigating Medieval Europe and Cellular Biology as a part of their Humanities and Science (HAS) curriculum. From Robert Hooke鈥檚 discovery of cells to the heroics of Joan of Arc, students have investigated knights, plagues and microscopes. They have looked into human bodily systems and how these systems were operated on during the Dark and Middle Ages, especially with a Crime and Punishment emphasis. 

This unit of study included an entire day of Medieval discovery as 鈥楳edieval Up Close鈥� ran an incursion, allowing students to find out first-hand about Arms and Armour, Costume and Lifestyle, Harm and Healing and Tales and Tributes from the era. This entire day of experience culminated in a Medieval Feast for the entire Middle School (except Year 6 who were busily enjoying themselves at their Coolamatong Camp!!). 

Hilltop Farm Meats set up a whole suckling pig on a spit earlier in the day, allowing the mouth-watering smell of roasting pork and hardening crackling to waft across the school grounds for the entire day. When it was finally ready to serve, they catered for the entire Middle School, with a delicious Medieval salad and shredded pork roll (and Medieval vegetarian pies to those who were not eating the meat option). With a sense of relaxed enjoyment, students ate in their communities, playing medieval games set up for them to challenge themselves and their friends in friendly competition. 

Overall, it was a spectacularly experiential day that was thoroughly enjoyed by all. A special thank you to both Medieval Up Close and Hilltop Farm Meats for making this day such a fantastic experience for all.

As Year 12 students approach the final stages of their VCE. For both students and teachers, it is a time filled with both anticipation and anxiety. The rigorous demands of their studies, combined with the pressure to perform to the highest possible standard, can be overwhelming. However, with the right support from parents, students can navigate this challenging period more effectively.

Understanding the VCE

The VCE is the pinnacle of a student's academic journey. It not only determines their eligibility for tertiary education but also has the potential to shape their future career opportunities. The curriculum is designed to assess a wide range of skills, including analytical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication. As such, the revision period into which our Year 11 and Year 12 students are now heading is crucial for consolidating knowledge and improving examination readiness.

How Parents Can Support Their Children

1. Create a Conducive Study Environment

Ensure that your child has a quiet, well-lit, and comfortable space dedicated to studying. This environment should be free from distractions (such as a mobile phone!) and equipped with all necessary study materials.

2. Encourage a Balanced Routine

While studying is important, so is maintaining a balance between work and rest. Encourage your child to take regular breaks, engage in physical activities, and get adequate sleep. A healthy body supports a healthy mind.

3. Be Involved

Show interest in what your child is studying. Ask them about their subjects, assist with flash card support, or simply listen to their concerns. Your involvement can provide the emotional support your child may need to stay motivated.

4. Provide Nutritional Support

A balanced diet can significantly impact cognitive function and energy levels. Ensure your child has access to nutritious meals and snacks that can sustain their concentration and stamina.

5. Set Realistic Goals

Help your child set achievable study goals. Break down their revision schedule into manageable tasks to avoid overwhelming them. Celebrate small milestones to keep their spirits high.

Overall

At this stage in their preparation, access to examination-style questions and eventually full practice examinations is critical. At this time of the year, writing notes is not a productive or useful use of a student鈥檚 time. They must expose themselves to past examination questions, and where possible, referring their work to the teachers for review. Unfortunately, students tend to be overly generous when marking their own work, so referring their work to their teachers is critical for a student to understand their level of understanding of key concepts. Our Year 12 teachers want to assist our students 鈥� they need only ask for assistance at this time of year.

At this stage in the year, for Year 12 students and many Year 11 students who are studying Units 3/4 VCE subjects, these holidays are not indeed, holidays. This is the time to work hard and put themselves in a position to attack an examination in the most efficient way possible.

I wish every student preparing for their VCE examinations every success over the next two weeks as they complete their Trial Examinations in the second week of the holidays. All students need to take their Trial Examinations seriously and use them as a springboard to success in their actual VCE examinations in October and November.

Japan Tour - Ibaraki Christian Junior High School

After a long flight, our Year 10 and 11 students were welcomed into the homes of their host families. After a bit of sight seeing, the students commenced attending classes with the Ibaraki students. After arriving at school they were excited to see some familiar faces, as the Ibaraki students who came to Newhaven earlier this year were very keen to catch up with old friends.

On the first day, students attended classes for the first part of the day, and then we were lucky enough to have a lesson in ikebana (flower arranging). The completed arrangements look beautiful and are proudly on display in the student locker area.

Also this week we visited a Shinto shrine and the Hitachi Origin Museum, a museum which celebrates the strong relationship between the Hitachi electronics company and the main city in the region we are visiting, also called Hitachi. We also enjoyed the opportunity to create wakamono (Japanese small things). This session brought together a variety of small traditional crafts - origami, cloth button making, knotting with paper twine and notebook binding.

A Term of Triumphs and Community Spirit in Year 9

Student Achievements Shine Bright

Our students continue to amaze us with their outstanding achievements. Whether it's academic excellence, sporting triumphs, or artistic accomplishments, their dedication and hard work are truly inspiring. We commend their efforts and celebrate their successes.

• Academic Excellence: A high number of Year 9 students have been attending homework club, demonstrating their commitment to academic success.
• Sporting Success: Our school's SEISA sports teams have been performing exceptionally well, showcasing the talent and dedication of our student athletes.
• Duke of Ed: Now that Wollangarra has finished students undertaking the Duke of Ed Bronze can complete their adventurous journey section. Students requiring assistance with this need to see Mr Foura or Ms Hall.

A Community United Against Sea Spurge

Our Year 9 community has once again demonstrated its commitment to environmental stewardship. The recent sea spurge removal efforts along our coastline were a resounding success, thanks to the tireless work of students and staff. Together, we made a significant contribution to preserving our local ecosystem with over 300kg of the invasive weed removed.

Anticipation Builds for the Commando Games

As we approach the end of Term 3, excitement is building for the upcoming Commando Games. This annual event celebrates the Year 9 spirit, teamwork, and physical fitness. We encourage all students to participate and show their support for their classmates.

With the end of Term 3 in sight, we are eagerly anticipating the exciting challenges and opportunities that await us in Term 4. From academic pursuits to extracurricular activities, we are confident that our students will continue to thrive and make a positive impact on our school community. Wollangarra: A Week of Growth and Adventure

Our recent Wollangarra camps were unforgettable experience for all involved. Students pushed their boundaries, developed new skills, and forged lasting friendships. From conquering the flying fox over the McAlister River to embracing the natural beauty of the surrounding environment, the camp provided a unique opportunity for personal growth and development.

Wollangarra reflection:

"One of the things everyone looks forward to in Year 9 is Wollangarra. You spend five days in nature and experience a different kind of life without a lot of the luxuries we鈥檙e all used to having. It was really fun spending time with my class, not being on my phone and exploring very pretty places. During my time there I faced a few challenges. The hours spent hiking, very early mornings and cold temperatures were pretty difficult to deal with but in the end I鈥檓 very glad I went and feel like I got a lot out of it."

VicSRC鈥檚 Youth Congress

On Friday 13 September, Kadek Humphris and I, as Year 10 SRC representatives, along with Year 8 student Scarlette Hill, attended VicSRC鈥檚 Youth Congress in Fitzroy. We collaborated with over 100 students from across Victoria to explore major issues in education, including student mental health and well-being, inclusive education, definitions of success, and greater investment in schools, teachers and students.

We investigated the root causes of these challenges and proposed potential solutions, which were mapped out and will be included in VicSRC鈥檚 annual report. This report will be sent to the Ministry of Education and schools across Victoria to contribute to improving our education system.

Additionally, we had the privilege of networking with significant figures from the Ministry of Education, including Minister for Education and Deputy Premier Ben Carroll, as well as the CEO of VicSRC and so many more.

Congress was a great opportunity for us to express our student voice and make changes on issues that directly affect us. I definitely have an improved perspective on student-leadership and hope to bring what I鈥檝e learned from this experience to our weekly SRC meetings at school.

Year 10 Geography field trip

On 23 August, the Year 10 Geography class went on a field trip to Silverleaves to examine the impact of environmental management strategies on a coastal area. At two different sites, the students studied the effects of longshore drift, coastal erosion and accretion, as well as the potential future risks that erosion poses to nearby properties. They collected data on how the area is utilised, identified potential threats and impacts, assessed existing management strategies, and created field sketches. 

Back in the classroom, the students are using this data to evaluate a hypothesis and formulate recommendations for the future management of Silverleaves.

Year 12 VTAC Applications

A reminder to Year 12 students who are intending to apply for higher education courses to create their VTAC account and submit course preferences by September 30 (noting course preferences can be changed up until ATAR release on December 12). Students applying for Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) and Scholarships need to complete this part of their application by 11 October.

Upcoming Music Events

Annual Bands Night - Westernport Hotel

Our Annual Bands Night, to be held on Monday 14 October, is a highlight of the music calendar. The night provides our student bands to perform in a professional venue, The Westernport Hotel. The evening will feature bands from Year 7 right through to our Year 12 bands. With one last performance from The Dropkicks before we dropkick them out of here.

Spring Soirees

On Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 October we will be holding our Spring Soirees in the Performance Arts Centre. The evenings will feature students from across all year levels on a variety of instruments and voice. Many students enrolled in the Individual Music Tuition Program (IMT) have been worked towards these soirees throughout the year and are very much looking forward to performing to a warm and receptive audience. If your child isn't currently learning music through the IMT and they would like to perform, they are most welcome. Please contact music.newhavencol.vic.edu.au to register your child's interest.

Year 5-6 Showcase and BBQ

On Monday 11 November our Year 5-6 Band classes alongside our Intermediate Concert Band will be presenting a short showcase from 3:30 - 4:15 followed by a BBQ outside the Middle School. This will be a great opportunity to hear what the Y5-6s have been up to for the year and a chance to catch up with their teachers. We will also provide pathways information on music moving forward. This will include information in the Individual Music Tuition Program (IMT) and options for continuing with instrumental studies.

Our AMEB examinations have been confirmed for November 28 - December 2. For those who've registered, Belinda Manning will be in contact soon with your exam date and time.

Taiko Drumming

We are delighted to announce that Taiko Drumming will be included in our MusicPlus Program. We have purchased a set of taiko drums and are looking forward to making some 'noise' If you would like your child to participate, please sign up via the College website. There are limited places available in for both classes and will be on a first registered basis.

Bright Star

网爆门事件 students, staff and alumni have multiple talents they love to share with our community. The College always likes to acknowledge and promote our talent.

On 26 September-5 October the Wonthaggi Theatrical Group are putting on the production of Bright Star. The story was written by Steve Martin and the music composed by Edie Brickell. The story follows a literary editor Alice Murphy, who meets a young soldier just home from World War II who awakens her longing for the child she once lost. Haunted by their unique connection, Alice sets out on a journey to understand her past鈥攁nd what she finds has the power to transform both of their lives. 

Current students Cecily de Gooyer and Archie Robson; alumni Jonah Van Stekelenburg and Jaz Hendry; and Newhaven parent Linda Hamilton are members of the cast.  Alumni Angela Chapman is the choreographer and Simon Russell is the character coach. Newhaven College's Director of Learning Karen Milkins-Hendry is directing and Marketing & Communications Manager Steph Thornborrow arranged the props for the show.

House Netball

Our Year 7 to Year 10 students have been getting into the House spirit with some intense netball competitions. Not only do the teams win points for their House, they also get to run around and have fun!

Lara's Cross Country Success

Lara Smyth (Year 11) has had an incredible year of Cross Country running. She came 9th in the Victorian All Schools Cross Country Championships for the U18 Girls, followed by a trip to Tasmania to compete in the Australian Cross Country Championships where she placed 10th out of Australia's top 100 U18 runners. Let alone her successes at College House and SEISA Cross Country runs!

Lara had a ball "For my age group, I raced 4km on a really challenging course with lots of mud, rain, and up to 60km/h winds. I was the 5th Victorian to finish and was really proud of that as it was an improvement from the recent state championships."

Congratulations to Maya Huther for winning Best & Fairest for the Under 17s at the Phillip Island Football and Netball Club. Also, Aisha Hibbert in Year 9 received Under 15 runners up Best & Fairest for the league.

MTB Interschool Series Winners

网爆门事件 claimed first place overall with an impressive 231 points in the winter AusCycling Vic Schools MTB XC Series, marking another successful season for the school's mountain bike team. On 7 & 8 September, over 16 students made the journey to Castlemaine and Bendigo to compete in the final two rounds of the series. These back-to-back events concluded a season filled with remarkable performances, with 网爆门事件 riders delivering standout results across multiple categories.

Among the top performers Hamish Dakers-Hock and Lucy Thompson both secured first place overall in their respective categories. Their dedication and consistency throughout the season earned them top honors, culminating in well-deserved first-place series medals. 

In addition, junior rider Evelyn McCabe demonstrated impressive skill and determination, securing third place overall in her category. Her performance highlighted the promising future of 网爆门事件's younger athletes as they continue to develop and shine in competitive mountain biking.

These achievements reflect the hard work and commitment of 网爆门事件's Mountain Bike Program. Notably, over half of the competitors were from the Junior School, illustrating the depth of talent and enthusiasm within the team.

The success of 网爆门事件鈥檚 MTB team in the AusCycling Vic Schools MTB XC Series demonstrates the excellence of its mountain biking program and the strong support from its community.

MTB Academy Fundraiser

Despite the wild weather great fun was had by all at the Forest Flow Event! We had 50 competitors, (37 students & 13 Parents & Friends)! Year 7 Zac Basterfield taking bragging rights with a very fast 3:13 for two laps. Fastest Junior was Dash Janson over the one lap course. 

Fundraising efforts were a great success and we thank all those that came along and supported the event.

The role of Chaplain at the College is closely aligned to the Wellbeing Team. Since beginning at Newhaven at the start of 2024, I have found myself engaged in a multitude of activities. Every Wednesday morning, I take part in Wellbeing Team meetings where we collaborate to develop strategies and plan programs which promote student engagement and wellbeing. The Wellbeing Team believes strongly that prevention is better than cure, which is evident in the proactive programs we run. I have been involved in running the Rock & Water program as well as the Drumbeat program and more recently R U OK? Day.

Whether it鈥檚 making pancakes with students, a visit to the vegetable garden, 鈥榯hrowing hoops鈥�, kicking the footy before or after school, playing UNO or just going for a walk, all activities are purposeful in connecting and building relationships and trust with students.

I have had the pleasure of attending several camps which have been a highlight of my year so far. I have supported staff and students with sports classes, sports events, food tech classes and student management during school productions and film making.

I am a part of the Be You committee that is currently promoting staff wellbeing. I make regular visits to all learning centres to establish connections and build relationships with students and staff.

I have enjoyed speaking at several assemblies and write the occasional article for the school newsletter.

I engage with students through one-on-one appointments when necessary and have a small caseload of students whom I engage with on a regular basis. I also attend Student Support Group meetings to help support these students.

This year I had the pleasure of representing the College while speaking at a Year 10 transition day for another school in our SEISA network. I also enjoy representing our school at the Ecumenical Schools Association Faith & Wellbeing network meetings each term.

The role of Chaplain is a busy and eclectic one which I enjoy immensely.

The Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb 2024

Year 6 Teacher and community volunteer, Mr Simon Furniss recently completed the Firefighter Stair Climb to raise funds for Cancer Research and Crisis Support. 

The climbers battled 28 floors in up to 25kg of turnout gear and breathing apparatus as a symbol of the burden of significant health and well-being issues faced by first responders and their families on a daily basis.

Simon was proud to take his part in the day, "What an incredible event. Over 800 firefighters and emergency services personnel participated in The Melbourne Firefighters Stair Climb, on Saturday 7 September 2024. It was one of the hardest physical and mental challenges that I have ever faced- but I did it! I climbed the 28 floors of the Crown Metropol 鈥� carrying 25 kilograms of equipment. A massive thank you to all those who supported me 鈥� I raised $1,720 for cancer research and mental health support workers. Incredible鈥�.

Simon raised much of his funds through the support of our College students and families, saving up their recyclables to bring to Mr Furniss鈥� classroom, which he cashed in every week for dollars towards the fundraiser. A fantastic effort, which we are very proud of!

Come along to this interactive workshop and gain insights and strategies for managing your child鈥檚 safety and wellbeing online, while sharing experiences and worries in a supportive environment. Topics covered will include: social media, Apps, gaming, the internet, screen time habits, device dependence, and emerging AI.

Presented by St John鈥檚 Uniting Church, facilitated by a clinical psychologist (and parent to three teens)

Cost is FREE. Refreshments afterwards.
