Seattle Creation Conference
The Seattle Creation Conference (SCC) is a recurring event organized in the Seattle area by the Northwest Creation Network. The first SCC was held in 2004 and has since been hosted by various Churches on a nearly annual basis.
The conference provides a venue for educational seminars that support Biblical worldview. The purpose of the event is to strengthen faith against the false teachings of naturalistic science, and encourage the Church to trust in the Bible as authoritative on early Earth history.
Four speakers are customarily featured that consist of authors, educators, and scientists with diverse backgrounds, including specialists in various science disciplines. Often included in this group are scientists from the Institute for Creation Research, and Creation Ministries International. The seminars given at the conference often include worldviews issues, flood geology, astronomy, biology, intelligent design, and general Biblical apologetics.
The SCC has a permanent website that is updated with details for the next event as they become available. Information such as directions, speaker biographies, links to creation resources, and downloads for a brochure and publicity poster are typically available.
