Germ of an Idea
Even though the National Health Libraries Week isn't going ahead there is talk of local version. As a service we think its an excuse for stoopid competition time as a way of dragging users to the site and familiarising them with the crazy mixed up kids we are. Nicola and I are taken with the notion of Big Booker a kinda Big Brother for books. Duly christened Big Booker can't help but think the thing was fueled by the presence of Dave in for a visit. Very good to see him too. He's due a couple of interviews down sarf' so positive vibes his way. Meanwhile our resident realist watches on knowing we gonna ask her to make some sense of all of this!
The personality profiles comeback from the Beatles Training, spookily accurate. Now we have to work out how to exploit them. Tracy and I discuss and share them with Nicola. Interesting stuff. Skeletons of a programme of work for the pair of us. Home, boy to Beavers, we finally succumb to Murdoch's Spawn of Satan and order a Sky+ box, dish and what seems like an unfeasibly large number of channels. We opt out of movies, music, sport and news. Food from the Ying Wah and time to clean the floor of the living room...
