You noble Diggers all, stand up now, stand up now

Beeb 4 has had a fascinating series of programmes on the left of the 70's. Don't really remember them but do remember their 80's heirs with a great deal of affection. Squatters tonight, Alexei Sayle and others on having Communist parents last night. Top stuff, fascinating. I can think of the odd Labour MP I've come across recently who could well do with learning about the origins and history of the labour movement. As for Mr Sayle, I have a soft spot for the geezer because he consistently makes me laugh. Hyperdrive to amuse me tonight. Phone home, I missed the Sunday ritual call. Technorati Tags: ; ; ;

Folk on Four

Richard Thompson documentary kicking off on BBC 4 now. Now while I'm aware of the man I'm not that aware of of his stuff. So should be good. Man can see this is another set of music to be getting my head round. It never stops this love affair with noise. If you want know about the programme the beeb site'll tell you. It's like everything else in my bloody life, flat non-compartmentalised like my state of thought, I'll listen to most things (probably why I maintain indie as a core definition because for me indie is a state of label rather than a single musical style - mind you I will listen to stuff on majors just don't do their philosophy) with an exception in the case of trad jazz and I might even go there if pushed.
