National Runaway Safeline Announces Change in CEO

Chicago, IL – July 9, 2024 – The National Runaway Safeline (NRS) announced that Susan Frankel is no longer the Chief Executive Officer of the organization. The Board of Directors expresses its gratitude to Susan for her contributions to the organization.

The Board of Directors has appointed Adam Manlove as Interim CEO. The Board and staff remain fully committed to NRS’ mission and are confident that Adam has the experience and vision to guide the organization through this transition period. Elected to the NRS Board in 2019, Adam brings in-depth knowledge and dedication to our cause, and will ensure NRS programs and services continue to thrive.

NRS remains steadfast in our mission to provide essential services and support to young people experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or other challenging circumstances. Our dedicated team of professionals is committed to delivering transformative programs and resources, ensuring that our community and partners receive the highest quality support possible.

We appreciate the continued commitment of our staff, volunteers, partners, and supporters as we embark on this new chapter together.

About the National Runaway Safeline Founded in 1971, the National Runaway Safeline (NRS) is a national non-profit organization that works to ensure youth who have run away, are experiencing homelessness or are at-risk of other adverse outcomes are safe and off the streets. NRS serves as the national crisis communication system for youth ages 12 to 21 and families, providing critical crisis intervention 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Each year, NRS makes hundreds of thousands of connections through hotline (1-800-RUNAWAY), online (1800RUNAWAY.org) and prevention services.
