Red, White & Blue Challenges~ Scrapalicious

Hey Folks!!  It's time for another challenge over at Scrapalicious USA.  If you haven't taken the time to check out the low, low prices at the Scrapalicious Store, I recommend you do that!  Why pay retail somewhere else when you can get your craft items 25% off...some things are even lower than that!?  It's pretty awesome!

The challenge this time is Red, White & Blue.  It does not have to be patriotic; just use those 3 colors as your main theme and the sky is the limit.

Here is mine:
Here are some of the items from Scrapalicious USA I used to construct it:
Copic Markers ($5.25)
And did you know that Scrapalicious also carries many Magnolia Stamps!
We hope you will participate in our latest challenge.  You could win a gift certificate to Scrapalicious USA!

All Things Altered Blog Hop!

Hello friends!  I am glad that you made it all the way to my blog for the "All things Altered Blog Hop" Hosted by Pam from Scrapbook Flair!  If you chanced on this, well, you are in for a treat!  Feel free to hop back to the beginning and start over.  I will have a full list of the blogs at the end of my post.  (Also there is a freebie..so read all the way to the bottom!!)
We have some lovely sponsors that have donated some product to a lovely winner.  A special thank you to:
I have been working on this project for quite some time. I didn't really know in the beginning what I wanted to accomplish with it, but when all is said and done a little bits of me and private memories are included.  I plan on adding more things as time goes on.  Because...life goes on.
I used a Tim Holtz Configurations box and covered it in paper using the Ranger decoupage medium.  I added some fun hardware for corners and legs.  Most of the hardware came from the Tim Holtz line.  Love the touch they added.

Each little space holds a memory for me.  The mini tea set is in memory of my mother. She always told me that tea will taste much better you drink it from a pretty cup. The little pinecone was a from a walk I took in a forest outside of a little village south of Stockholm, Sweden.
The rock was something I picked up when I visited Helsinki, Finland. The other spaces hold special memories about people and places dear to me.
I hope you liked this project I made to share.  Please leave me a comment if you do and I would be so happy if you decided to become a follower today.  Your feedback really makes my day.
Most of the items and embellishments used on this project came from my 2 favorite online stores.
As a very special bonus, if you do become a follower today and leave me a comment that you did, I will send every person a free digi stamp from Shelley Bean Stamps.  Be sure to leave me your email address so that I know where to send it!  If you are already a follower, that's wonderful!  Just leave a comment and you can have the free digi too.  This digi is brand new and never before released.  It will only be free during this hop June 29-30th!
New Digi!  "Shopping Sheila"
Please hop back to the very beginning of this hop to see how you can win prizes from our fabulous sponsors.
And once again, here is the full line up!

Scrapalicious Challenge Time Again

It's that time of the year for graduations.  At Scrapalicious our challenge is to create something using a Graduation theme.  As many may already know, my eldest son recently received his Bachelor in Business at Boise State University.  I decided for my project I would create a page layout using some of the cool papers and stickers available over at Scrapalicious USA.
I decided to keep it sort of clean and simple.  It's easy to get a bit crazy when you have all the cool stickers and embellishments to play with, but since he is a guy, he certainly wouldn't appreciate glitter on his page!

Happy Easter- Scrapalicious USA Challenge

Hello everyone.  Today we have another fun challenge beginning at the Scrapalicious USA Design Team Blog. The theme is Easter!  With a theme like that, I expect everyone to want to come and play. (we try to keep it fairly simple for you all :))  Today I created a card using the ever so adorable stamp from Mo Manning.  I will link where you can get it for yourself at the bottom of this post.

The supplies I am promoting on this card are from the TrimCraft Company out of the UK.  Scrapalicious USA has a lot of these very nice quality papers and supplies available at remarkably low prices.  The 6x6 paper pad here was only $4.01!  There is also a sale going on right now where if you pop: Clearance15% into the promotional code at check out you get even more off on your entire order!
(Just as an added incentive...you can even use this code on the COPIC MARKERS available at the store...those are hard to find on sale anywhere!)

Scrapalicious Challenge- A Cut Above

Today marks the 2nd challenge with the fantastic new Design Team for Scrapalicious USA.  The theme this time around is "A Cut Above"...so, that means anything that entails a special cut.  Thinking, die cuts, paper punches, fussy cutting...you get the idea!  I was in a coloring mood and thought I would pull out one of my Shelley Bean Stamps (since Scrapalicious USA sells them at her store) and make a card using the ever so pretty Bo Bunny paper I got also at Scrapalicioususa.com!
There are so many tools available at Scrapalicious USA to make your cards, layouts and paper projects complete.  Here are the items I used:
Skin: E11, E00, E000, R20
Hair:  E50, E53, E57
Dress:  R85, R83, R81

Twilight Inspired Mini-Album~Scrapalicious USA Design Team

Hello and welcome back to Scrapalicious USA Design Team Wednesdays!  We have been on hiatus for quite a few months, but after some careful planning and reorganizing, we are back with a brand new team and fresh ideas to inspire you.  The first challenge for 2012, is an "Anything Goes" theme.  We hope you will hop on over to the Design Team blog and join us.  We love your support!

I was in one of those "Twilight" moods and decided to build this cool album as a way of giving that mood an outlet.  Yes, I am admittedly too old to care about those darn books...but, alas...I do care.  I love them!  I have read them all a few times.  I like the movies too...but, I LOVE the books.  I am going to use this album for photos of the beaches and the forests around the area that I grew up in the Pacific Northwest.  I thought the theme was somewhat appropriate.
The album pattern was created by Laura from "Following the Paper Trail"
This rose was created using the Spellbinders Rose Creations Dies.  I have a video tutorial on how to make these by following this LINK or check out the flower tutorials link at the top of the page.

The album contains 6 pages that have 30 total pockets!  There is plenty of room for journaling and each tag is matted  with coordinating paper for photos

I hope this inspires you to create something and share it with us over at our Design Team Blog.  We will be giving away a gift certificate to the Scrapalicious USA store!

Family Vacation Layout & a Challenge

I showcased my Gratitude Journal back in November and had some photos left over that I had printed out in those wonderful sepia tones.  I would be proud as punch (why is punch proud anyway?) if you took a look back at that.  But I digress...This was one of a few photos that I particularly loved because it shows my parents who are in this photo younger than I am now, and I am only a teenager.  My sister and brother are barely past the baby stage, and well...it makes me feel all mushy inside because I remember it all so clearly...yet...it's so long ago.  *sigh...

Today I am showcasing some fantastic supplies I used from 2 of my favorite online Scrap supply stores.  The paper is the very fun Bo Bunny Et-Cetra line.  Scrapalicious USA has these papers along with all the coordinating sticker sheets and chipboard elements that go along with the set.  The beautiful Websters Pages Lace I acquired from Paper Patch Crafts.  The vintage look and colors I think matched the layout perfectly.  I popped on a couple Prima flowers, some buttons and a little machine stitching to finish it up.

Paper Patch Crafts is having a challenge now through midnight tonight using this layout.  Only requirements is a little hand or machine stitching and buttons. Join us!!
