Project Manager - Catalytic Converter Manufacturing Facility - Amec - Johnson Matthey

Working directly for Amec Construction, my role as Project Manger covered the Electrical Infrastructure and Batch Control system for Project FastCat.

The main switch boards, back up generator, MCC's and cabling were all designed and installed for the full facility.

Dry powder transfer, slurry preparation and storage, automatic filling and robotic handling fed the product into bespoke Stabilisers and Ovens.

Frequent visits to sister plants in Johannesburg and Philadelphia were made in order to develop the batch / recipe process.

A unique and challenging project design and commissioned within 12 months.
