Butterfly Post-it-Notes

Hello friends... This week we are sharing our favorite IBS stamps... IBS has so many great stamp sets that it was a bit difficult to choose just one but I selected the Butterflies stamp set from the latest release.
I have made a Post-it-Notes holder using this stamp & the co-ordinating cut file from Butterflies Cut File. The little glittered banner tab on top is cut with  Fancy Labels 3 Die. I have folded it & adhered on both sides of the top fold which keeps the stand from opening up falling...

I hope you like my project... thanks for visiting today...

Always Remember

Hello friends...

Has it ever happened to you that you have to write a note & you can't find a pen or paper...
I had faced this in the past but after I started using my magnetic post-it-notes I always know where to find something to write my little notes or add to my grocery list... :)

When my last  post-it-note got over I decided to make a new one instead of refilling it... small perks of being a crafter... I get to make & use new  things :D

So here is the new design that I made...
I have used a die cut pattern paper & chipboard for my base ... I used 2 strips cut from magnetic sheet on the back.. I wanted to make it a little inspirational so I die cut a card stock with a medium sized die from Fancy Labels 2 Die, inked it & stamped the sentiment from Everyday Greetings... This is a great stamp set with some great paragraph sentiments for various occasions...

I needed a place for my pen so that I don't have to go searching for a pen everytime I had to jot down something...
I decided to hang the pen with the help of a ribbon... I punched a small hole in the top corner, threaded the ribbon through it & used a pearl brad to secure it & also to hide the hole...
I have threaded a pearl through the other end of the ribbon & secured with a knot.. this helps to hang my pen nicely ... & it can fit any size as long as the have this clip thing  :D

I love flowers so I decorated it with a die cut flourish corner, some flowers & string of pearls.
I can easily use another post-it-note to refill this when it gets over.. or create a new one if I get bored with this one  ;)

I hope you like my little project

More Post-it-notes

Hello..
Have you noticed my new blog design..

I promised in my last post that I will share the projects I am currently working on..

So here I am back with some new Post-it-Notes Fridge Magnets..

But before I move on to today's project I will answer some questions..
I often get a lot of questions about how do I make my projects..what is the process behind creating my designs...etc.. etc..
& the truth is.. There is no fixed process..
I go with the flow...
I gather things I would like to use...
( If I have some new supplies then 99% chances are that I will use them :)  )
Then I try to arrange them... mix & match... maybe add something else to add interest.. like pearls, rhinestones, ribbons, flowers etc..& experiment till I am satisfied & then I glue them up..
Simple.. :)
The only thing to keep in mind is that you have to experiment & sometimes take some risks to come up with a great idea & design...

Now lets move on to Post-it-Notes...

After searching so many places I finally got my hands on Kraft CS..
& I LOVE it..  :)
And I want to use it in all my projects...
And that is the reason behind my last 2 cards being Kraft based.. hehehe..
I also got vintage Photo & have been using it like crazy.. :)
So when I sat down to make these beauties.. these 2 things were the first things I took..
I also got some pretty PPs (from FMI, A5) & a variety of leaves recently..
So.. I started working & came up with these..

I didn't want to cover the beautiful designs so I just inked the edges with Vintage Photo & added some pearls, rhinestones, holographic glitter glue to most of them..
The 4 post-its in the 1st photo had white spaces on the top where I added some paper roses & leaves..
The springy thing was made with the leftover stems of the roses..

They look much more prettier in person..
All of the above are made from a single sheet of A5 PP.. !!!

I made all of these in a matter of few hours.. Fast na.. :)
There are more designs of Post-it-notes but will share them in my next post..
Do visit my facebook page for some closeup shots..
Those of you in India who are looking for Kraft CS can visit my store..

Gift Set for a Friend's Anniversary

Hello...

I recently met one of my school friends after a gap of 11 years...
It was so much fun.... We chatted for hours....
She told me her 2nd wedding anniversary is in few days...
& she likes handmade stuff so I made 1 small gift set for her...

I kept  red & black theme for the gift set.

The size of the gift box is approximately 4 x 4 x 1 inch. The top is decorated with tile punched black CS & quilled flower to match the design of the tile punch. The side is punched with MS Doily Lace Punch. I added some black pearls & black ribbon to decorate the sides...

The envelope is also handmade ... I embossed it with swirls embossing folder & made a belly band with tile punched black CS strip.

The card is made with the largest & 2nd largest die from Nestabilities label 4.

decorated it with quilled Malaysian Flower & some black pearls...

Here is the open box with all the contents inside....

I made a Post-it-Notes Fridge Magnet in red & black for her..
The red panel is made with embossing & acrylic distressing technique...

I embellished it using  Quilled Malaysian flower some white pearls & a black ribbon...
When she saw my quilled pieces she loved the ladybugs so I thought of making ladybug bookmarks for her...
They are coated with glossy sealant to make them waterproof & sturdy...

Hope you all enjoyed my little gift set...
Thanks for visiting...

P.S. - Don't forget to check my next post on 5th July....
Trust me you don't want to miss it.... :)

Decorated Post-it-Notes Fridge Magnets

Goodmorning...
Yesterday I took some time out and finally photographed some of the projects I made sometime back...

One of these projects are Decorated Post-it-Notes... I used 2x3" Post-it-Notes for this project. I used some Card-stock and made the cover ...and then decorated it with some pattern paper, ribbons, stones, pearls and punch craft flowers... I also added a piece of 4cm square magnet... The ribbon loops on top are for tucking a pen.

I have put the 1st one on my fridge and its so handy to make shopping list for grocery or other household items, to-do list etc... plus it makes a beautiful fridge magnet...
