Lacy Floral Bookmark

Hello and welcome....
Today I have something very interesting to share with you all...
Few months back I got a laminator to use for my toddler's worksheets and some other stuff.
I was experimenting and playing with it to see what else can I do with it...
And I found out that it can laminate intricate die cuts too and that too of 300gsm cardstock!
I know many of you might be familiar with this feature but it was a new thing for me and I was so excited!!!
This thing opened up so many creative possibilities for me... and I immediately wanted to make something lacy and pretty with my laminated die cuts...and this is what I came up with.... a delicate looking bookmark which is not so delicate!
I love reading and always wanted to incorporate my love for paper crafting  with my love for reading but I was afraid that the die cut bookmarks won't last after a few uses. and if I wanted to make them sturdy then it would loose that delicate look but once it is laminated that problem was solved...  :)

So here is my 1st laminated floral bookmark...
Read till the end for more details, supply list and instructions...

Instructions:
Die cut a piece of white cardstock using the die from Eyelet Lace Frames Die. Trim both the long sides to 1 1/4". Place them together inside a laminating pouch so that there is no gap between the trimmed edges and laminate. Fussy cut the excess laminating pouch leaving a 1/16" border around the die cut.

Flowers : Stamp the flowers from Oakberry Lane Blossoms Cling Stamp Set and Floral Fashionista Cling Stamp Set on a sheet of Rajni Chawla's Vellum Flowerite with Hero Arts unicorn White pigment ink and heat emboss using White Embossing Powder and Heat It Craft ToolDie cut all the flowers using the matching dies from Oakberry Lane Blossoms Die and Floral Fashionista Die.

Ink the Oakberry Lane flowers with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink as shown using Stack and Store Daubers. Gently rub over the flowers with a piece of soft cloth in circular motion to remove any leftover ink on the white embossing and make it bright again. Shape them using the pointed edge of the Groove Golf Tool Set. Pinch the petals in the middle and then gently curve the edges outwards.

Now use the ball tool and the molding mat from Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit to do a circular motion in the flower center to cup the flowers. Add a drop of 3-D Crystal Lacquer to the flower center, place another flower petal on top and press with the ball tool. Poke a hole in the flower center using the pointed attachment of the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.  Add a  bunch of medium Rock Candy Stamens and Pastel Pearl Stamens to the flower center and adhere them with 3-D Crystal Lacquer.

Shape the Floral Fashionista flowers using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit and add a pink stamen from Pastel Bead Stamens to the flower centers and ink the white stems with  Leaf Green Archival Ink.

Ink them using Leaf GreenSunflower and Vibrant Fuchsia Archival Inks. Shape the leaves using 3D Blossoms Shaping Mold.

Arrange and adhere the flowers and leaves as shown. Add a tiny ladybug made with Ebony Black and Red Berry Nuvo Crystal Drops to the floral arrangement.

Set of bookmarks/ tags/ skinny cards

Hello Friends...

How are you all? I am here with some more inspiration with our floral stamps...
I have made a set of 4 bookmarks/ tags/ skinny cards...
You can use these as you wish..  :D
I started with 4 watercolor cardstock die cuts using Fancy Label Dies 3 & heat embossed them in white with various floral stamps from Friends ForeverSpring LilacsWater Lily & Lily of the Valley. Next I colored them with distress inks... I added faux stitching with my white gel pen after they were dry..
Then I die cut 4 white card stock with the ticket die from Fancy Label Dies 3 for the sentiments..
I have inked & stamped then with the banner stamp from Friends Forever  & stamped the sentiments from Friends ForeverWater Lily & Pretty Planners...
I made a 2" x 5" folded white base & added an embossed panel on top... & added my colored piece & sentiment on top...

I love how this turned out..

Some Paper Bookmarks

Helloo...

My scrap box has started to overflow....
So I thought of making something using them...
& make a little dent in my ever growing pile of scrap papers...
& while going through them I found 6 die cut white bookmarks...
I was itching to use my new eyelet setter I bought few days back....

So... Tada....

I made 6 bookmarks....

I have used different techniques for all of them...
The first one is made with brown embossed CS... The green panel is White ivory square embossed & shaded with pencil colours on the debossed side...

I had 1 piece of ivory that I had misted with pink colour ages ago... I embossed it & coloured the leaves with green pencil colour & applied some magenta 3D outliner dots on the embossed berries...
The piece below the green ribbon is a scrap piece that was left from an old project....

The third bookmark is also made from a wet embossed CS  left from an old card...
I used my MS Doily Punch to make the white paper ribbon, then added a red ribbon & 3 rhinestones & done....

For the fourth bookmark I distressed the edges of the bookmark with frayed burlap distress ink, embossed a Purple CS with birds & swirls embossing folder & brayed with the same distress ink, Distressed the edges with my scissors, added some brown rhinestones, eyelet & ribbon & done...

For the fifth bookmark I used the negative of a die cut butterfly for the focal point. I embossed a small pink square & adhered it to the back of diecut & added pearls in the center. Then I adhered it on a partially embossed & distressed cream handmade CS & added a ribbon & some light purple rhinestones for the finishing touches.

The last one is pretty simple... I just used the tile punch on purple CS & added rhinestones in the center of each flower.

Gift Set for a Friend's Anniversary

Hello...

I recently met one of my school friends after a gap of 11 years...
It was so much fun.... We chatted for hours....
She told me her 2nd wedding anniversary is in few days...
& she likes handmade stuff so I made 1 small gift set for her...

I kept  red & black theme for the gift set.

The size of the gift box is approximately 4 x 4 x 1 inch. The top is decorated with tile punched black CS & quilled flower to match the design of the tile punch. The side is punched with MS Doily Lace Punch. I added some black pearls & black ribbon to decorate the sides...

The envelope is also handmade ... I embossed it with swirls embossing folder & made a belly band with tile punched black CS strip.

The card is made with the largest & 2nd largest die from Nestabilities label 4.

decorated it with quilled Malaysian Flower & some black pearls...

Here is the open box with all the contents inside....

I made a Post-it-Notes Fridge Magnet in red & black for her..
The red panel is made with embossing & acrylic distressing technique...

I embellished it using  Quilled Malaysian flower some white pearls & a black ribbon...
When she saw my quilled pieces she loved the ladybugs so I thought of making ladybug bookmarks for her...
They are coated with glossy sealant to make them waterproof & sturdy...

Hope you all enjoyed my little gift set...
Thanks for visiting...
