αἱ γυναῖκες δὲ
αὐτοῖσιν, ὅσαι κάρτα σώφρονες, ἐπὶ μὲν ἄλλῳ μισθῷ
οὐκ ἄν τι διαμάρτοιεν, ἐλέφαντα δὲ λαβοῦσα γυνὴ
μίσγεται τῷ δόντι: οὐδὲ αἰσχρὸν Ἰνδοὶ ἄγουσι τὸ ἐπὶ
ἐλέφαντι μιγῆναι, ἀλλὰ καὶ σεμνὸν δοκέει τῇσι γυναιξὶν
