Garroted.

--At an early hour on Wednesday night, a young man, named Horatia Young, a returned prisoner, while proceeding to Camp Lee, was inveigled into an old lot on Broad street by a youth whom he had inquired the way of, where he was seized by four men, who were in waiting, thrown to the ground, and robbed of his pocket-book, containing one hundred and fifty dollars in money, his furlough and other papers. He was also divested of his shoes and hat, the latter being replaced by an old greasy cap, which the thieves had provided themselves with. The unfortunate victim walked into the chief of police office soon after the occurrence, in his stocking feet, where he gave an account of his adventures and requested assistance to enable him to arrive safely at his destination.
