In Judge Halyburton's Court, yesterday, Simon Connor and James M. Travilian were discharged from the Confederate service under a writ of habeas corpus, they being farmers in possession of the number of slaves requisite to entitle them to exemption.Confederate States vs. the Southern Express Company, involving the sequestration of certain property belonging to Joseph P. Jones, an alien enemy. The court directed the receiver to execute a deed of said property to Henry C. Jones, next of kin.
The habeas corpus case of Thomas W. Finley was continued.
The court thereupon adjourned till Saturday.
