Fires.
--About six o'clock on Saturday evening, the burning of a chimney attached to Thomas W. McCance's residence, on Leigh street, between Eighth and Ninth, caused the fire bells to ring and the firemen to turn out in full force. Their services were not required, however, and soon afterwards the apparatus was returned to the engine houses and the members returned to their homes.About half-past 7 o'clock yesterday morning, the sweat house attached to Fisher's tobacco factory, on Main street, in Manchester, near the cotton factory, took fire and was burnt to the ground.--The fire is supposed to have been the work of an incendiary. Loss small.
