--John Rhett, arrested while attempting to reach the enemy's lines, was brought here yesterday and committed to Castle Thunder. He is attached to one of the companies in McAnnerny's battalion, now stationed in the neighborhood of Chaffin's Bluff, and, it is said, while on picket duty, he deserted his post.
