Robberies.

--Thursday night some miscreants broke into the store room in the basement of the Female Orphan Asylum, on the corner of Leigh and 7th streets, and stole the whole stock of provisions of the establishment, including the bread that had been baked for the orphans' breakfast. They also carried off all the knives and forks belonging to the house. This robbery was committed by a thievish gang of negroes who live in the immediate vicinity of the Asylum.

On the same night the stable of Gus. Staples, a free negro, living on 3d street, was broken open and two horses stolen.

Friday night Mr. Henry Myers's premises, in Rocketts old field, were robbed of four hundred dollars' worth of poultry. It is said that on the same night the dwelling-house of Mr. John A. Worsham, at his farm, Mount Erin, was burglariously entered and a quantity of property, including some valuable silver plate stolen.

Saturday night Mr. Daniel Haggerty's kitchen, in Sidney, was broken into by thieves, who stole one hundred pounds of beef, a lot of Irish potatoes that had been cut and prepared for planting, and a new cavalry bridle and bit.
