Correspondence.

February 18th, 1864.
Rt. Rev. John McGill: Right Rev'd and Dear Sir
--I enclose for your acceptance the sum of $500, to be placed in the hands of Sister Juliana Chatard, of St. Francis de Sales Infirmary, for the benefit of the sick and wounded soldiers, and more especially for those who are refugees from their homes and cut off from friends who are within the limits of the Federal army.

Please accept this as an imperfect expression of gratitude for the sympathy extended by many of your faith whilst a prisoner in Maryland, and the universally expressed good will for our people by all whom I met of your denomination in England.

I am sir, with respect,

Your obd't sv't,

S. F. Cameron,
Chaplain C. S. A.
