--A negro fellow, named Edward, the property of Wm. H. Shepherd, was ordered twenty lashes yesterday by His Honor, the Mayor, for stealing from his master several favorite barn-yard fowls. Ned offered no excuse for his delinquency, and received the Mayor's decision as if he had been simply directed to draw his regular per diem rations.
