Failed to give Bail.

--Charles Lankford, a white man, was arraigned before the Mayor yesterday on the charge of being a person of evil name, fame, and reputation. The accused failing to prove a good character, he was informed that he should give security in the sum of $500 for good behavior or be sent to the chain-gang. Not succeeding in obtaining surety up to the time of the adjournment of the Court, it is presumed he has already been initiated in the operations of that useful institution to the city mentioned above.
