A Burglar shot.

--On Saturday morning last, between 3 and 4 o'clock, Archer, slave of B. C. Woodward, entered the house of Mr. Charles Campbell, in Sidney, with the evident intention of robbing the premises. He was heard by Mr. C. as he entered the window, who inquired ‘"Who's there? "’ No answer being received, be fired his pistol, the ball taking effect in the negro's arm, just at the elbow joint, inflicting a very painful wound. The negro was subsequently arrested and sent to the Henrico jail for trial in that county.
