--The youth, Gilmer A. Lumpkin, convicted recently of forgery and sentenced to five years imprisonment in the penitentiary, was sent over on yesterday, his design of taking an appeal in the case having fallen through. He did not seem to care much as he passed through the streets, but on the contrary dashed along with his escort at uneasy get quite happy, apparently, at the idea of spending his Christmas in the State prison.
