Commercial treaty with Turkey.

--A treaty of commerce and navigation between the United States and the Ottoman Empire is officially proclaimed. It is marked throughout by much liberality. Tobacco and salt, however, are not included among the articles which the United States are permitted to import into the Ottoman dominions. But as a compensation for their prohibition no duty whatever in future shall be levied upon them when exported from the Ottoman Empire by citizens of the United States.
