Respited.

--Henry Squires, the member of Purcell's Battery who was to have been shot yesterday for desertion, at Camp Meadow Bridge, was again respited by the President for ten days. As before remarked we are inclined to the belief, from evidence derived from the best sources of information, that there are a number of persons now in confinement in Castle Godwin who richly deserve the fate decreed to Squires.
