House of Delegates.
Saturday, Feb. 15.The House met at 12 o'clock M. Mr. S of Augusta, in the Chair. Prayer by Rev. Mr. Woodbridon.
Mr. Anderson, of Botetourt, from the Military Committee, reported the following bills:
A bill to amend an ordinance of the Convention, entitled ‘"An Ordinance for the organization of the Provisional Army for the State of Virginia."’
A bill appropriating money for the construction of a road from Marlin's Bottom, in Pocahontas county, to the Salt Works in Braxton county.
A bill authorizing Maryland volunteers who re-enlist in the troops of Virginia to be transferred to Maryland regiments.
Mr. Robertson, of Richmond, from the Committee on Banks, reported the following bills:
A bill to amend and re-enact section 1 of chapter 27 of Code.
A bill to amend and re-enact an act entitled ‘"an act to authorize the banks of this Commonwealth to issue notes of the denomination of one and two dollars,"’ passed January 24, 1862.
A bill to authorize certain corporations to issue notes of and under one dollar.
On motion of Mr. Evans, the House took the report of the special committee to investigate what judicial officers of the Commonwealth have been guilty of disloyalty; but without coming to a vote, the subject was postponed, the hour of half-past 12 having arrived,
The House then went into secret session, under the standing rule.
Mr. Flood, (on Friday,) offered a resolution that the appropriate committee inquire into the expediency of giving further time to the commissioners of the revenue to make official reports of the assessments of property.
