Mrs. Pickens.

--The wife of Gov. Pickens, of South Carolina, is said to be an exceedingly fascinating woman, and immensely popular with the officers of the South Carolina army. She rather fancies military affairs, and makes regular inspections of the forts and camp, where she is always received with enthusiasm. A writer who saw her recently at review, says that she wore ‘"a dark colored French basque, a velvet hat ornamented with a red ostrich feather, a veil, sable muff and cape of the same material, had dark hair confined by a not, and carried a parasol."’
