Charles City county items of news.

Charles City County, Va., March 24, 1861.
Charles City County Court has been in session several days, transacting business of varied importance. At its February term, a resolution was passed to issue county bonds to the amount of $1,500, to equip the two companies of volunteers raised last year; at the present (March,) term, the order was rescinded.

Our county is strongly in favor of immediate secession, as was plainly proven on last Thursday, by a vote by acclamation, on resolutions of instruction to our delegate in the Convention, to that effect. The resolutions, however, will not be published, as we well know our delegate is, as he has ever been true to his section, its integrity, honor, and interests. Several of our countrymen have announced themselves as candidates for the State Senate, irrespective of party. I understand that some five or six others are also announced in the other counties composing the district. Won't the dear sovereigns have a jolly time, if a Convention of the people does not decapitate some of them? Please ask the Virginia State Convention what, in the name of common honesty, decency, and self-respect, keeps them from submitting an Ordinance of Secession to the people for ratification? Yours, H.
